Fulltime working moms, what's your evening like after work?

I'm curious what your evenings are like once you're finally home for the evening. Especially if your hubbies work late or over nights like mine.
Our schedule goes as follows:

3:30pm: JT drops Ava off to me at work.

4:15pm: We get home.

4:15-6:30pm: relax, hang out, play with Ava and make dinner.

6:30pm:Eat dinner, clean up, etc.

7:00pm:Relax and hang out with Ava some more.

8:00pm: Ava's bedtime.

My Dh works late about 3 nights a week.

5pm pick Chelsea up from daycare

515 get home and play

6pm feed her dinner

Btwn 7:30 and 8 she goes to bed.

During the week it is so sad that I only get to spend about 2 hours a day with her.

Get home about 4.

Get comfy, and play with Rj

4:45 cook dinner

5-5:30- eat dinner

5:30-6 Clean up from dinner & RJ's bath

6-7 Relax with Rj, watch some tv, play a bit

7- Read a book and put Rj to bed.

DH's schedule rotates 1 week days/ 1 week nights

5:00pm I get out of work

5:40pm pick up Troy from daycare

5:50pm arrive home/ Troy and I play then I prepare his dinner.

6:15pm Troy eats dinner

then, play more or bath time

7:00pm Troy's bedtime.

5:30pm - arrive home with DD
5:35pm - take dog for walk with DD
6:00-7:00 - make dinner and eat, play in between
7:00-7:30 - play/clean-up
7:30 - bath or extended story time (on days she doesn't get a bath)
8:00pm - bedtime

Thanks, girls. I feel like I'm soooooooooo drained when I get home from work, and Ava is so full of energy and ready to play, but man, I feel like I'm being run into the ground lately. Sometimes I wish I could jsut come home and lay on the couch

Well, I only went back to work this week, but so far it's been:

5:00 pick up DS
5:30-5:45 arrive home
6:00 dinner
6:30 bath & pjs
7:00 storytime and play a bit
7:30 bottle
7:45 - 8:00 bed

When I was home, the whole schedule was about a half hour earlier, so bedtime was between 7 and 7:30, but we are adjusting. DS is 11 months.

I just decided that I am going to start cooking on the weekends, so I can just reheat something when I get home during the week. The LAST thing I want to do after working all day and taking care of DS after is cook.

I usually come home between 4-5pm. While it's still light outside we usually play in the playground at school, or with our neighbors (3 little girls, one is Alex's age). Once it gets dark, we head inside and we play with toys, read books, play dress up, etc., while Daddy makes dinner. We usually eat around 7:30pm. At 8pm I give her a shower or a bath, then we brush teeth, use the potty, I read her some books and then she climbs into bed by 9pm.

Come home, put on Yo Gabba Gabba if we are home in time (5:30) or Blue's Clue's (6:00) - get dinner for him while he watches. Sometimes DH comes home and it helps.

Dinner for Cailen, bath immediately after.

Dancing to music, playtime, and the books.

A milk baba and the Cailen gets his little Elmo doll to go to sleepy sleepy.

ETA - Bedtime is not around 7:30 because of the time change

I get home at 6-630 and then its

6-630 dinner
7-730 play or watch shows
730- 800 bath,pjs,reading
8-9 watch shows or play and read
9.00 bedtime


all in all its about 2.5 -3 hrs

430 pick up DD
530 we eat dinner
630 she has a bath
700-730 she goes to bed after a story and talking/rocking.

I clean up in between and we pass DS back and forth if he is up as well from the time we get home till everyone goes to bed.

ETA except for Thursdays, I now telework that day so I pick her up at 3 and we go for walk, visit a neighbor, go to the park, something fun along those lines.

Leave work at 5:15, pick up dd at around 5:30ish

get home by 6...

6:15-6:30 - dinner time

6:30-8 - play / relax...every other night we do baths

8pm - bedtime

5:15 to -7:00 - DS gets diaper change and cereal. Dinner gets prepared. play with DS
7:00: bathtime, reading, playing
7:30-8 - bedtime - DH and I have dinner

DH usually picks up DS and starts dinner (thank heaven)

6:00 I get home

6:00- 7:00- We eat, I play with DS, clean up from dinner and then bathtime (its a busy hr)

7:30 DS Bedtime

7:30 - 9:00 I clean, do laundry, pay bills, go online, take shower

9:00 -10:00 - read or watch tv

5:00 I get home, and play with Brady and get dinner ready
5:30 Dinner for all of us
6:00 to 6:30 play time
6:30 Bathtime
6:45-7:30 nurse
7:30 bedtime

Not enough time in the day :(

4:15 get home from work

4:20-5:30 play with Piper

5:30-6:15 bath & pj's

6:30 dinner (I prepare it ahead of time)

7:15-7:45 more playing

7:45-8:15 sippy of milk, watch TV, wind down

8:15 brush teeth, read some books

8:30/8:40 Good night to Piper!

I don't get home til 7:30, SOMETIMES 7 if I can get out early.

DH gets Ryan at 4:30PM.

When I walk in the door:

Playtime with Ryan until 8PM
8PM bathtime
Nurse
Bedtime

Then we eat (DH cooks once I get home)

Prepare what I need for my next day (and daycare)

Pump

Bed

Husband picks Noah up at around 5.45, I get home at around that time.

6 pm Noah eats pasta from a can
6-7 pm - play play play or tv
7 pm bedtime for Noah
8 pm Dinner
9 pm dead on sofa
11 pm bed

Rinse lather repeat

i am home a lot at night with the kids so here's what i do.

4-415 get home
430 feed baby his jar food while dd plays or watches tv
5- bath for ds
515 make diner play with kids at the same time
6 bottle for ds
630 bed for ds
630-7:30 eat clean up do wash vacum play with dd etc
730 dd goes to bed
745 i hop in the shower
8-9 go online watch tv
9-930 out like a light LOL

I pick DD up after work and depending what time I leave I usually get home between 6:30 and 7pm.
I play with her, feed her, bathe her and she goes to bed at 8pm. Then I make dinner for DH and I, clean up, get everything ready for daycare the next day and watch some TV and come on LIF.

Hmm lets see:

430-445 get home from work

500--start cooking dinner, then clean up, wash the dishes and bottles....maybe put a load of laundry in...

630--feed olivia dinner

700 bath...and time to play with my DD...
finish the laundy....

830 start winding down to put DD to bed....
Once she finally falls asleep anywhere between 830 and 930 (sometimes later) then I start packing her bag for the next day.


So I usually go to bed by 1030 or 11

My evening:

6:00 pm - Pick up from daycare

6:30 pm - snack for DS & unpack bags

6:45 pm - bath for DS

7:00 - 7:15 pm - get DS ready for bed, read to DS and put him down

7:30 pm - start dinner and wash containers and sippy cups from the day

8:15 pm - eat with DH

9:00 - 9:15 pm - prepare sippy cups and food for everyone for the next day, go through list to get whatever is needed for the next day

9:45/10:00 pm - bed
