moms of 5-7 month olds at xmas time... what are you getting dc?
I'm sure this has been posted, but i can't find it. 
Moms of 5-7 month olds by christmas time... what are you getting dc?
DS will be 6 months old at christmas and we're not getting him much at all. But family members have asked what to get him and i have no clue. I need some ideas!

I didn't get DS anything last year (he was just shy of 8 months) except the Little People farm, which he just started to like now
But he did get a ton from my parents, most of which he is still using. The best gift was the Fisher Price Little Superstar Stage, he still plays with it!

i'm not gonna get DD anything. everyone has been asking me too, but i haven't said what yet, but i was thinking maybe to ask for sleeper sacks, i'm sure she'll be getting lots of clothes from them, but she can use some undershirts, etc. and then maybe a potty to have handy.

I don't think we will get him anything aside from a donation to his college fund.
As far as people asking me what he wants. So far I've told them Baby Signing Time DVD set and some clothes for the spring.

we are getting DD a few toys and books. i'm having the grandparents give $ for college savings or classes (i.e., gymboree)

Marron was 8 months old for her first Christmas. I did get her stuff. Everybody, including DH told me not to, since she wouldn't even know what was going on and would not be able to open stuff. I told DH that there was no way I wasn't getting her stuff for her first Christmas. I did limit what I got, and this is most of what I ended up with.
I also got her a few balls that she could crawl around and chase, the bath bumpers and some bath toys and of course new Christmas PJs. Family gave her mostly clothes, and the FP Learning House.

DS will be 7 months. So far I got him
-Leap Frog Learning Table
- Fisher Price Laugh 'n Learn House
- Leapfrog Baby Tad
- A set of musical instruments similar to what they have at our Music Together class
- A sled shaped like a penguin from Step 2 (got it in Target).
That's probably it from us for Christmas morning. He will get tons more on Christmas Eve and Christmas day from both sets of grandparents, aunts & uncles, and family friends.

DS will be almost 7 months by the time Christmas comes. I'm trying not to buy him anything because I know he doesn't know any better, but I know it will be hard! If I do get him anything, I'll probably get some small things. I know our family will take care of him! I created a wishlist with some things that I like for him because 3 people already asked me what they can get him. The Fisher price stage is on it. So is the Fisher price kitchen, some tools (DH said if I put the kitchen, tools HAVE to be on the list as well!) Some Baby einstein DVDs, books, a little baseball and basketball toy.

We are asking both sets of parents for convertable car seats.
I would also like to put on her x-mas list a toy chest and something to store books in that won't tip over.
We'll get her toys. I'd like to get her some sort of keepsake for her first x-mas and was thinking of getting a "baby's first christmas" ornament from Lenox... and maybe I can find a nice ornamental dreidle (sp?) and have "baby's first hanukah" on it too.
I already got a "mommy's first christmas" ornament from BRU.
