For girls who use the Saliva Test Microscope

Please share your methods of applying saliva...

I thought I had it right, but now I am not so sure. These are the three methods I have tried..

1. I have tried putting my finger on my tongue, and then applying the saliva to the scope. Not so good.

2. I have also tried using a q-tip in the same way as my finger-- that just resulted in extra lint on the scope.

3. I tried lightly licking the scope, and I felt it gave me an accurate reading once, but now I am not so sure.


So, please share your techniques!!!

I always used my finger on my tongue. Why did you feel that didn't work?

I've tried rubbing my finger against the inside of my cheek before.

What I do the most is just use my finger to get some and place it on the slide. I've had easier to read results this way.

I don't lick it because the direction sheet that came with the tester said that the surface of the tongue may scratch the glass slide.

I Just feel like when I use my finger, I get too many bubbles and maybe too much gets on there... I don't know. It definitely does take some getting used to.

When I use it I don't lick it but I get a small amount of saliva on my tongue and place it on the slide-works for me. Then I clean it with a q tip and some water
