Farrah Abraham of Teen Mom to adopt a child
Farrah Abraham will soon welcome a brand-new addition: The “Teen Mom OG” cast member is in the process of adopting a child.
The entrepreneur — who will return to MTV on January 4 along with Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell for a brand-new season of the long-running series — opened up to Us Weekly about her future clan.
“I’m happy to confirm I’m moving forward in my adoption process,” Sophia’s mama revealed to the magazine. “This means I will be making some changes in my career to welcome a new addition to my family. Very excited and this feels so right. I’m very blessed for this opportunity.”
Farrah has been vocal about her desire to expand her brood and she opened up about this subject, fittingly, on World Adoption Day.

How would she get approved to adopt? Don't adoptive parents have to practically jump through flaming hoops to be able to adopt a child?

As someone that has adopted there is no way she will be able to adopt. There are criteria and background checks, social worker visits and it is not an easy process. I don't even think she is old enough to adopt. There are age limits. Just because she wants too doesn't mean she will.

Agreed. I have not adopted, but I know it's not as easy as it seems. No way on God's green earth will she be allowed a child. Shit, I'm surprised she even still has her own daughter.

How old is she? there is no age limit to from what I know and I have been exploring this process. You cant be on welfare, have need to home with a place for the child, have income and no criminal background etc, however, I cant see her adopting.
I saw her on the show botched and she told the Dr's she was planning on going to medical school so she can become a plastic surgeon

like that one WELL, Dr Dubrow counted out for her how many years it take of training, he said 14 yrs.. I think she is 26-28 yrs old. He said do you realize how long and old you'll be at the end..
Ps. nothing against peps that go back to school later in life:)

I am not familiar with US adoptions so I can't comment on that but there are definitely age limits for international adoption. Korea is at least 25 and China is 30.

Maybe she thinks plastic surgeons work on plastic. Can't imagine anyone wanting to be near her with a scalpel.

Despite the fact that she looks like a saddle that was rode hard and put away wet in the rain, she's only 24. She's just haggard.
