I live in Chicago and my family lives in NY. I see them every 2-3 months. My mom will come here maybe twice a year and we'll go there the other times.

I am in NC, my sister, BIL, Father, step-mom and brother and sister are all in NY...I see them I guess 2x a year....my sister has been down a few times to see me lately. MY mom is in GA and I see her maybe 4-6 times a year

Mom and Dad are in AZ and have been there for 10 years. It's very hard having them so far away. We see each other about 2x a year and that's not enough..especially for them.

It will be hard when you have kids but as others have said, ME is not so far away and it's relatively inexpensive to get there. AZ is a much bigger deal.

I speak to my parents almost every day.

Dh's fam live 4 hours north in PA.
I am actually going up there this weekend. Haven't been since Xmas.

well my mom doesnt leave that far, in jersey, so i would say about once to twice a month

My bro and SIL moved to NC in July and we saw them for Thanksgiving. My SIL came up for my baby shower. My bro just came up to see DD. They are coming up together for Easter. They will also be up in August for a friend's wedding (but will of course visit with our family)

My parents went to NC twice to visit them since they moved there.

My IL's retired back to Poland in May. DH and I went to visit in June (trip was planned before their moving date). MIL came for three weeks in the fall and FIL came for 10 days in January. I think they will be back for DD's christening and then I am guessing we will see them once or twice a year. BIL also lives in Poland and last time he came to the US was 2004 for our wedding. Hopefully he will come again soon.

I see my brother's who live out of state about 1x a year, usually for a family wedding/funeral. Never at holday's.

As for my parent's - it seems they live elsewhere cause they are about a 10-12 hour drive away. They make thetrip down here about once every other month or so. We travel up there about 2-3 times during the summer/fall for family gatherings. We spend the holiday's at our own place now with combined families.
