Edited - Gift for your doctor?
What are you getting your OBGYN for a gift? How much is appropriate to spend?
ETA: My gift is really for the birth of my child too. My doctor is doing my C-Section on the 31st.

In all seriousness though I am going to send something. I was thinking a nice big box of Godiva or something like that- although ITA about those front desk ladies. I hope he doesn't share the chocolates with them... Hmm maybe I should send something he CAN'T share with them...

Seriously, I think it would be a nice idea - I have only gone for one appointment so I think I can let it slide but definitely next year!
Sounds like all of these offices are the same though, what is with the support staff?!

I think she meant for delivering the baby- not for xmas. I'm not sending anything for xmas- err Hannukah I guess for Dr. Rothbaum... lol.

Last year, after delivering DD#1, I got my OB a $50 GC to Smokin' Al's in Bay Shore. This year, after he DD#2 is born (TOMORROW! ) I'll be giving him a GC to Teller's. I will add... I love my OB. We have an awesome relationship and he is like a buddy to me!

I love my OB and his staff. I had an appt yesterday and took some mini pastries from the Italian bakery for him and the girls. I made sure it was clear that it was for them, not just him. I've had the same nurse every time, however, and she is my favorite so I got her a gc to Port Royal Grille down the block from the office.

See I would like to send something to the doctors after the birth as they are all great. The nurses rock too, it is just the girls at the desk. They are so cranky!

I couldn't agree more!!! They don't know how lucky they are!!! And they get the gift of billing my insurance.
When those jack@sses decide to start calling me back when I have testing done and basically get on the ball even one iota I might consider giving them one cookie to share.
