the consistency is different so i guess its just a personal preference. the earth's best seem to be thicker...
DS preferes the Gerber (or at least that is how it seems)...

I buy both.
Gerber Organics for plain fruit and veggies.
When we started giving my daughter meats I only use the Earths Best mixed dinners.
My DD LOVES the Earths Best Chicken and Sweet potatoes as well as the Turkey Vegetable dinner. They are her favorite dinners.

I like earth's best b/c it's in glass jars. Gerber has some organics in glass- but mostly it's plastic. Also- I looked at the unit measure prices, and at my supermarket the earth's best is less expensive, and has more variety.

Like Dina, I prefer the Earths Best b/c of the glass jars versus all that plastic...
And DS seems to like Earths best more, but I do use both.

I use both, but tend to buy the Gerber more often. They have more of a variety.

Thanks all. I'll check out the prices. I was going to look in Wal-Mart...who do you find has the best prices?
As for those who mentioned the plastic, is that b/c of the chemical in plastic that you prefer glass? I never thought of that if it is, so thank you!

both are good earth's best is cheaper. But I always buy Gerber. I might start buying earths best b/c it is a bit cheaper.

I use Earth's Best for breakfast. I like the consistency MUCH better and they just have an overall better variety, IMO. I like the glass jars vs. the plastic as well.

I started out buying the Gerber Organic, but now only buy Earth's Best. DD is only on 1st Foods, but she seems to like the Earth's Best better- and I agree with the above posters who like it better because of the glass jar.

I only buy the fruit because making fruit (needs to be cooked) is a lot of work. Mostly Gerber but I only buy their organic prunes and pears.
Only stage 1 and 2. I'm not a fan of the jarred meat

I dont cook my fruit? I buy organic....
As far as the plastic goes...I prefer glass b/c plastic's not biodegradable and theres too much as there is out there, so while Im not that great in not using it, every little bit helps IMO.

I also like the glass for when DC doesn't finish and I put in the fridge- glass keeps food colder than plastics. It's a better insulator.
i also have glass "tupperware"
