The airline's actual website. Alot of hotels and airlines have low-price guarantees now. (the price on their own website will be the lowest out there, guaranteed).
I like to do my research on Orbitz/Expedia/etc but then actually book it on the airline's website. The non-airline websites do charge a small booking fee in most instances.

I booked straight through the airlines website. It was def the cheapest.

I've used kayak.com to find the best rates from multiple websites and then I usually end up booking from the airline's website. I also check southwest though because I don't think kayak can search their site.
