Do you ever feel like you have been through so much in your life that you could write a book?

sometimes i wonder how i got through such tragedies in my life and went on. my mom died when she was 40, i was 19 and my brother was 14. my stepsister died at 18, mother-in-law passed away (she was the best women) DH was diagnosed with brain cancer out of the friggin blue had chemo radiation and then lost his job.

sorry to make this such a sad post. i really wonder how i get the strenght to go on despite all this horrible stuff that has happened. for the record, DH will be cancer-free 3 years in may

Yes, I definitely feel like I've had more than my share throughout my life but I'm a stronger person for it. I would just like a small "break" between catastrphoic events though to catch my breath

I totally know what you mean. But I'd love to write a book on the funny side of things. With all the problems we have encountered we always look at the funny side. I'm not a fan of tears, unless it is from laughing too hard.

yeah and I've got the big worry wrinkle smack between the eyes to prove it. It's my badge of courage.

Now where did I put that number for the botox doc?

This is a thought I have every day. As another poster said, it really is a badge of courage. As much as the adversities have been a challenge, I've overcome so much and this makes me so proud.

but... as i read the posts on this thread... maybe all these things we've been through is the "norm" hmm now, you got me thinking, because i know many of us have shared some whoppers and we all seem to be ok.

I'm sorry for all you've been through...& yeah for DH!

I don't think I could write a book on how to get through any of my experiences. I haven't had nearly as many hardships as others have nor do I consider myself an authority in any area.

yes- I have been thru more then my fair share in the last 4 years

but if I wrote a book- it would be a positive book about how I go thru it all

Yes, I see more death as a child/teen than most ppl will see in their life plus a dysfunctional family that give any soap opera a run for their money But then in the same toke, their are so many other people and areas of the world that have dealt with worse crisis, war etc.. So I am thankful for the good I do have.

Yes, I could probably write a book with all the stuff I've had to deal with in my life...and I am proud to say that even after all of it...I'm still standing, am happy and know life just gets better!

I work on an ambulance and feel that no one ever believes some of the stories that I have. Some of them are just soooo far out there. (hugs for you I hope all is have is good days ahead)

thankfully... NO

I have met people that had it much much much much worse...

I am AMAZED at people's strength...

I've been through some heavy sh*t.... but nothing compared to the people I have met/ read about.
