Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?

I know it sounds crazy with all the stuff we have to go through for nine months. I have a planned c section on Wednesday and part of me is sad that I won't be pregnant anymore. I love feeling the baby everyday and knowing that I'm providing a safe place for him/her. Believe me, I can't wait to meet my little one, but I'm starting to get a little down as well. Can anyone relate?

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?

I for one don't. I had a not so pleasant pregnancy. Between the m/s, heartburn, hypoglycemia, feet lodged in my ribs, the constant peeing, etc, I think the delivery was 1000 times easier than being pregant!

Good luck on Wednesday

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?

I loved being pregnant.

I didn't have any of those yuckie symptoms.
People were nice to me
I didn't need an excuse to get psycho
I loved feeling my baby move around

It was a lot less work to be pregnant than to take care of a baby!!

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?

I'm in the minority...I miss being pregnant...but I always follow that up by saying that I had a very easy & enjoyable pregnancy, I was very lucky. I'm glad DD is here and am loving every second with her, but I miss being pregnant!

I enjoyed it but I was never sick, etc. that other gals go through. Honestly, I never thought I would even like being preggo, but now I really do miss it! Chat Icon

Just wait until you have the second - there's nothing like having a bad day with 2 kids as an excuse Chat Icon I never get questioned anymore

((((raising hand))))

I LOVED every minute of being pregnant. I was only getting frustrated in the end because I was anxious to meet my baby. Other than that, I loved it. Looking forward to the next one, but maybe not for a little while Chat Icon

I felt the same way, I was so sad I wasn't pregnant anymore once Julia came, it was like I felt she was safe inside me, and no one was able to touch her.

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?

No way Jose.

I was insulin dependent GD. It was awful. I hated that stupid diet. I hate sticking needles in my side. Ugh. So glad that's over! In fact, I'm not looking forward to being pregnant again in the future!

But....... the feeling of those little kicks and flutters is very special!

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?

I LOVED being pregnant and miss it so much! My baby is only 2 months old and I can't wait to have another....
I keep scaring my husband by telling him I want another one - he's still traumatized by one newborn in the house!
I miss it so much!

I do but I will definitely wait a while for the next one. Not too excited to be pregnant again just yet.

I think when everyone told me to enjoy this time (while I was pregnant), I really did enjoy it and got my fill of it for a while. Chat Icon

I totally miss it but I'm afraid of the newborn stage again. That's the only thing stopping me right now. I keep saying soon but keep finding excuses.

Not really. I loved feeling DD kick and move around in my belly - but towards the end putting socks and shoes on was too friggin hard.
