Listen to your gut.
We went with a babysitter. No regrets.

I was going to say the same- if you are not comfortable, consider changing places
When I left my DD at daycare- at only 8 weeks old- I had not one second thought. I did cry the first few days as I drove to work- at the thought of leaving her so young- but I never once worried about her care there.
I felt as safe and comfortable as if I were leaving her with my mom.
If you don't feel that way- you should. For what you are paying, you deserve peace of mind.
It's hard enough to go back to work and leave your baby, the last thing you need is second thoughts or worries about him being safe and comfortable.

This! I left my DS in daycare at exactly 8 weeks and I was more worried that they would hate my DS cause he cried so much but never once worried that he was going to get anything but the best care. He has been at the same place now for over 3 years and I have never felt he was unsafe or not getting the best care possible.

Funny, ,I told my mom I thought DD would be thrown out of daycare for crying and screaming so much. Turns out, she was better there than at home!

So was my DS. Just another example of my ds being a street angel house devil. He is still the same at 3. Angel for others devil for me.

Re: Daycare second thoughts

In our first daycare the babies thru 3yr Olds were in the same room. The babies ended up in high chairs all day! ! I took him out right away and switched. His new place is babies till 18 months and it goes well! I love it.

Follow your gut though

Daycare second thoughts

My place is 6 weeks until about 8-9 months (crawling, pull to stand) and then the second room is 8-9 months- 18 months. From 7-8 am and 4-6 pm, they combine the two room due to staffing.

Mine is the same. The two days a week I have to pick up my DS after 4pm it definitely gets a little chaotic, I think, especially since the regular teachers leave.
