I have a good one that my FIL got me from Sharper Image. I don't know the price but It's a 2" one and it works so well. My hair is thick & curly & starightens that sucker out.

i have it i LOVE IT!!!!!!! CANT LIVE WITHOUT IT!!!! I PAID 125 BUT i figure with all the money i have spent over the years on straightining shampoo/conditioners, leave-ins.....the chi is worth it its an investment

I would say the 2", because it covers more 'ground', and will probably take longer with the 1". Think of it like when you brush your hair... if you brush your hair with a tiny comb, you'd have to untangle longer, than using a huge diesel brush.

i actually bought the solia from folica.com it works ok until i tried the maxiglide, which works great on me, the flat iron really just flattens everything unlike the maxiglide which has the pins in it. does the chi have pins in it?
