yes 450 is a lot of money, not arguing that, what I see is that for that price you cant buy a house in wantagh, seaford, merrick, bethpage, - surrounding towns , at least none that I could fine, if someone does please let me know ( my brother is looking for a house in those towns) and I just wanted to know why you can get a price range of that much in levittown.

I have found many homes in the surrounding towns for under $450k. I almost bought a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath dutch colonial in Bellmore for $392,500 a few months back. The house was totally renovated inside and out, and the taxes were low too.
Not all of the surrounding towns are only filled with houses that are over $450k. You have to search for the houses that are reasonable in price. That house in Bellmore was not the only house that I found for that price, I found a few in South Merrick for Under $400k, and in Wantagh for under $410k with wantcgh Schools...I also found them in other towns like Bethpage, seaford etc....

which website msli.com? thanks - but also these houses didnt need work right?( he doesnt want bellmore) I dont think he wants to spend 400 if it needs 50-80k worth of work for that kinda money.

East Meadow for $399k
N Bellmore for $399k This is a nice starter house, just in a bad location and a small property. Danielle and I looked at this house when it was $409k
Bethpage $400k
Bethpage $409k
S Bellmore $414k
This is what I found for under $415k on MLSLI. I am sure if I look on other websites, I will find other houses....that are under $415k in towns other than Levittown
