Cell phone Bill -- how much do you pay?

I think we pay too much for our family plan, but maybe I need a reality check...

We have Verizon Wireless, and we're on the family plan and pay about $100/mo. DH wants to get a Blackberry but we don't want to pay for the upgraded 'data' plan. We don't want to switch providers, either, because most of our extended family/friends have Verizon and texting is cheaper/free that way.

Is $100 reasonable for two lines without unlimited texting?

I feel like our bill is really high. I think it's almost $170 a month. We have a family plan and DH has a Blackberry. Unlimited text and whatever data plan he has on his. BTW we have Verizon.

we pay double that- but we both have blackberrys - with verizon

unlimited texting, insurace

and 2100 minutes to share

I think with tax it's $225 a month


we are saving about $100 a month this why as oppose to us both having our own plans

We have Sprint- ours is $160 per month for 2 blackberries with unlimited texting and data. We also have 3,500 minutes but mobile to mobile calls (to or from any other carrier, not just Sprint) do not count towards that. We need tons of minutes bc DH is self employed.

I honestly never use a cell phone, but I realized the need to have one in case of emergencies...so gave up my old Verizon plan and got a Virgin pay as you go plan. We pay about $20 a month for 2 phones.

Eventually when the kids are older, I'll probably get a Blackberry, but for now...this works.

$76 a month, family plan, just 2 of us. I think we have 700 minutes to share, no texting, nothing fancy.

We have verizon and pay $125 a month for both mine and DH phones on a family plan... 700 shared minutes, unlimited texting, DH's is a blackberry so its a bit more

$130 family plan...1400 minutes, unlimited texting. no data plan....grrrrrrr i hate bills!

$195 including taxes.

2 blackberries, unlimited data, 2 regular cell phones (for our mothers). Share 1500 minutes between all 4 lines.

If we cut out our two mothers' phones, we'd save $40 a month ($20 per line) plus tax on that. So it would be about $150 per month for my and DH's blackberries with unlimited data and 1500 minutes to share.

DH has an iPhone
I have a piece of $hit.

I dont how much, but I know we never go over.....so we must have a ton of minutes, unlimited text and DH has a bunch of crap added on........

Too much - I think with taxes it's $130 and that's just for my phone, b/c I have the iphone, but I love it, to me it's worth it. DH's is covered through work.

we both have unlimited txt
i have data plan for my bberry
700 shared mins (we never use more than 450 peak mins and we have no home phone!)
AND i have an extra line (3 total) - it was cheaper to add the line for $7/mo than it was to pay for insurance on both of our phones)
unlimited vzw - vzw
unlimited nights/weekends

i get 22% off through my job (state farm)

we pay $121/mo total

We have a verizon family plan with 5 lines, 1 is a blackberry, all have unlimited texting, about $190/mo

My sister and I have a Verizon family plan. I have no texting. She has the minimal $10 plan. We pay about $75 per month total. Some months it is a little more if I get a random text here and there. Also, for some reason the taxes and fees vary every month!

We looked into getting our minutes reduced to get a cheaper deal, but apparently we already have the lowest plan possible.

family plan 2 phones about 180 a month that is way too high and its verizon only 1400 shared minutes too!

We have 2 iPhones on a family plan...unlimited text and pay about $220.

I'd make sure you can get a discount! Verizon offers discounts to certain companies and to government employees. DH works for the Village of Valley Stream so we get a small discount on our bill.

Our $100 Verizon bill includes DH's work discount of 8%. I know he really wants a Blackberry with a data plan, so we're going to look into it this month.

check and make sure that you're not eligible for a discount! I think go'vt employees get a discount with Verizon. My company does as well

We get a discount....we have the same plan as you....cheapest 2 lines without unlimited texting. Our bill is $89
