This should probably be a different thread bc the post is about the afterlife and not psychic mediums but this is a good article explaining some of the tricks;

Psychic medium tricks

Yes I believe many of these things as I have watched many, many of these people and some are so general. Full names without pushing the person to get it out and the person not talking to get more info is not the same.

There is not one story that you could tell me that would convince me that the woman is actually in contact with someone that has died. I just would not believe that there wasn't an explanation for her knowledge other than actually speaking with dead people.

I think the "gift" is being able to manipulate vulnerable people and make money from it. You don't have to agree with me. I think most people don't. I think it would be much easier to have faith and believe that someone has contacted my dead relative and I could still have a conversation with them. But I don't and I never will.

Believe me I totally get what you are saying. I went to one woman and got just about nothing out of it. If I didn’t hear with my own ears this one reading, my child’s experience and others whom I know personally I wouldn’t believe it either.

I don't think you get what I am saying. I could have had the same experiences as you and nothing would make me believe. Short of the person materializing in front of me and speaking to me themselves, I will not believe in any of this. That is the difference between us. Not that you have experienced something so spectacular that I can't relate to.
