Our DD sleeps in our room so far. her room is right across the hall. I have both cats & dogs & they are all very annoying so if I sleep with my door closes someone is always trying to get in or out! So it stays open. In the summer when we have the a/c on, i have to keep it open a crack and then i open it up just enough for someone to get through & i put something heavy behind it so they can't push it all the way open which is what would happen & then all my expensive cold air gets out! It's all very annoying. Her door is closed because the cats like to sleep in the big crib that is in her room. in fact I Just left it open & i had to go maul them because they are knocking stuff off the shelves in there!!!

We have a one bdrm so I can't answer, but someone asked this before on here and someone answered that their brother or BIL was a fireman and told her it was safest to have everyone's bedroom door closed. I thought that was interesting and asked my cousin who is FDNY and he said the same, it is safest in case of fire for everyone's bedroom doors to remain closed overnight.
My dad was a fireman and this is the reason I keep DS's closed. DH won't sleep with the door closed. I insisted when it came to the baby, though.
