Bad visit with the ped today...
I am having a really rough couple of days
I had to bring Andrew for his 6 month check-up.
1st off he lost weight so in 1 week I have to bring him back for a weight check. And then take him to a pediatric gastro. He eats but spits up a lot more then ever this past 2 months.
2nd he has a problem with his hips. I have to take him to a ped ortho. He probably will have to get a brace for his hips or else he won't be able to walk right.
I am so upset He was in so much pain when they were checking his hips. I feel so bad. Then I had to go into work.
I wish I could be with him.

Aww. I'm sorry you got not so great news. Hopefully your follow up appts will go a bit better. I had to wear a hip brace when I was a baby, my mom said I was born w/one leg longer than the other...I have zero memory of it and am totally 100% fine today, always have been very active, never any problems. But I know how hard it is to hear bad news

oh no. about the weight, dont worry too much about that. when my dd was your sons age, she used to spit up soooooo much. and was frequently getting weight checks. about his hips, i will say extra prayers that maybe the doctors are wrong, but if they are not, that your sons recovery is fast.

Oh No....poor guy. Hopefully the ped gastro and ortho will help him and quickly so he is not delayed in walking and starts gaining weight

I'm sorry you're going through a rough time!
When I was born, both of my hips were disconnected and I had to wear a brace for a time. My mom was sad that I couldn't wear cute girly stuff...hehehe...but everything turned out great and while I'm no athlete, I've been walking fine for over 30 years now!!!

I would look into going to another doctor.
