ryans ped visit today

so after SEVEN days of constipation we took him in to be seen. The MD did a rectal exam and literally within minutes Ryan had to go. Too bad I couldnt do it myself. Now he has to take a laxative daily.

While we were there we also asked the MD to look at his eyes because one seems to be uncentered at times. Well, he said yes, his left eye has a slight shift. They did some funky vision test with monitors on his head and the good news is his vision is fine and he doesnt have a lazy eye. But I have to take him to see an opthomologist and he may have to wear a patch . He wore one for the test and thought is was so cool (his pirate patch), so he wont mind but it bugs me. I guess I am just vain.

Good mommy instincts on the vision. Joseph would be beside himself if he were allowed to wear a patch all day. I know it's hard to think this way but better that they found something & started correcting it now...

.Aww Im glad he is OK with the constipation! I know I would be upset about the patch a little too, but at least you got the problem now and can fix it and I'm sure he wont have to wear it for long.
