Telling his daughter that she has no brains or decency and that she's a rude thoughtless pig? And talking to her with that language? What is wrong with him? He does not deserve to spend time with her.

My parents were definately frustrated with both my brother and I at points when we were growing up, but they NEVER said things like we were selfish, thoughtless pigs. My parents were also divorced and we weren't always around when my dad called (even if we said we would be) and he never made us feel bad for that nor did either one of my parents say anything negative to us about the other one. I'm not saying they were perfect, but they realized that it was stressful and didn't want to make a crappy situation worse for us.
If anyone spoke to me that way now, let alone when I was a kid, I woudn't want to take their calls again either.

I agree, up until the "pig" comment. It sounds like he is trying to maintain some relationship with her & that it is unfounded. It must be hard since things are not friendly between he & Kim.
I love how it was leaked out the day he is due to fly to CA though....and really why does the whole world need to know about this? Sorry but I think Kim & her lawyers are worse people for making her daughter the center of a PR campaign against Alec

I kind of agree. I mean, he was wrong and he should NOT have called his daughter a pig - that was crossing the line and uncalled for - but to me I really hear how hurt he is. It's clear to me that his daughter ignores his calls and her mom does not insist that she at least respect her father. Granted, my father would have handled that much better (it would have been a 2 hour speech on respect, heavy on the guilt) -- but my mom would have been much worse. Maybe that's why I'm a little desensitized to it.
And for her mother to leak it to the press - honestly that's no better. Now not only has her daughter been berated by her father, now she gets to be embarrased in front of the whole country. She's using her daughter to vilify her ex-husband.

Wow...Im not shocked though that Alec Baldwin would do this though. Maybe someone else I might be but not him. Poor kid! I'm sure she's being pulled in both directions almost her entire life, it can't be easy for her in the least. I've always despised all the Baldwins.

I didnt think it was that bad, maybe because I have heard a lot worse from my "father" ( I use that term lightly) The pig comment got me. My dad and Mr Baldwin should get together for some drinks. And in 20 years when she wants nothing to do with him, she can play this back to him for a memory, I dont have that luxury.

none of you know what is going on or what kind of kid this girl is. maybe he is seeing his daughter turn into the future Paris Hilton...and wants to put a stop to it. maybe she pushed him too far. some kids do that, you know.

I don't know, he sounds completely frustrated with the whole situation and I guess reached a breaking point.
Yeah, the name calling was wrong, I agree with that. We don't know what goes on - this is a really messy divorce and it seems to me that Kim is doing nothing to at least keep Ireland in her dads life. To leak this to the public was just WRONG. It was also in violation of a court order.
