This hospital sounds like a mess. I would see about transferring them, if possible.
ETA my cousin delivered her DD 3 months premature and was happy with Northwell Manhasset's NICU.

Reading this update simultaneously breaks my heart and makes me rage. How much more can one family take?? and to place blame on the parents for this??
I am so so so sorry they are going through this. I am praying so hard for both of these precious boys.

That is absolutely absurd. I would insist on those poor babies being transferred to another hospital. Completely unacceptable.

Thank you so much for keeping us posted. This is just so upsetting. They are all in my prayers and I really hope things start to turn around for them. I also hope the hospital can get themselves in gear bc these babies and their family certainly don't need to deal with more than they already have on their plates.

6/12 update on MemorialDayBride12
we were in the nicu for 3 days at the same hospital as memorialdaybride 12 back on 2015
it is a very good hospital but one nurse can ruin the bunch and really create an issue
we heard one nurse there say that he didnt feel like changing the tubes/wires before leaving for the day "the night crew can do it" and then a few hours later there was a pretty severe skin issue around where the needle goes in. we complained and never saw him again. i hope he got fired. all the other nurses there were very very good. but this is a serious issue and i hope they get a good resolution.

Hey everyone!! Thank you for your continued support and prayers. Finally things are moving in the right direction!! My one son is in an open crib! I'm so excited!' He might come home in about 2 weeks. And my other son, the baby that was so sick is doing well and on CPAP! they keep changing his fortified milk because he is "dumping" which means all he is taking in, its dumping into his colostomy bag, so he isn't getting much nutrition. Hopefully the new fortifier will work. His next surgery to re-connect his bowel track should be in about 3-4 weeks. I'm praying it works and my other son should come home a month later. I will update again soon! Thank you all!
