Didn't lose as much weight as I wanted to before the event but I COMPLETED THE SPARTAN RACE this weekend at Citi Field. Never in my life would I think I would be able to do this.

My legs are still feeling the wrath. I'm still in shock I actually did it but I made it to the finish line!! Chat Icon

How’s this for a weird comment!

I’ve lost almost 30 pounds and some of my pant hems are dragging on the floor. I posted it on FB (and that I want to lose 20 more) and a guy from high school said - I always thought you were pretty. Keep up the good work!

Um - what does losing weight have to do with being pretty? I wasn’t before bc I was 50 pounds overweight?! People are dense sometimes!

great job and that is so random lol

I am on a mission to eating healthier and changing my eating lifestyle. I am a junk food eater, love pizza, bread, etc. I need to start changing. I am not overweight but want to feel better. I feel like crap. Please everyone wish me luck. TIA

I am new to this post!

I used to be consistent with exercise and really fell off doing anything consistenly (more than 4 weeks) for a long time.

My goal as of 3 weeks ago is to workout weekdays (work days) at 530am.

I do 30 min fitness blender programs.

My goal is to run a sub 20 5K. I’m June, I PRed and got 20 minutes flat. Milliseconds short of my goal. Now I need to sign up for another one.

I stopped running back in March and it's been hard to get back into it, but I've been good this week (went back to week 1 of C25K). However, I'm at my lowest weight that I've been in years, so I've been ok even though I've been depressed for several months. I'm working on getting back on the horse b/c I still have 25 pounds left.

I’m doing OK. My weight has remained the same, but I want to put on more. I don’t eat a lot from stress lately, but I eat a lot of little meals throughout the day.

When I cook, I just try to add extra oil and butter. The problem is that I just simply like meat and veggies. I’m not a dessert person or a pasta/bread person. I will go about once a week and grab a pizza or burger or order in, but I’m not sure what to do at this point. I don’t even weigh myself at this point.

Oreos worked wonders for me- lol

I'm joking. Have you spoken to a doctor about gaining weight? Are you able to do exercises to build muscle?

I don’t like Oreos. I think I might be the only one who hates Oreos, lol. Give me some ice cream and I’m OK!

But seriously, I do need to get back to the doctor. I had blood tests done last year and every thing was cleared. And yes, I have spoken to a therapist about gaining weight. She wanted to make sure I wasn’t anorexic (I love my food).

I don’t do too much exercise because I don’t want to lose more weight. I do walk a lot, though. I love exercise, but I simply cannot do it at this point.

I'm still in the same general weight from a few months ago but I've joined a gym and will start taking classes next week.

Another plus..... I was doing C25K before but kept doing week 1 then week 2 before I fell off the wagon in April. I'm back to running the past few weeks and today was the first time I did week 2 - and I wasn't even really winded! I was afraid it'd be as hard as it was before, but I barely noticed that I was running longer. I'll stick with week 2 for 2 weeks then bump up. It's great knowing I'm getting stronger!

Don't let it derail you. I 'gained' 2.4 pounds the week after vacation. The next week I lost 4.8. It's all the water from processing the extra food!

Re: 2018 Accomplishments and Goals (Spin off to Accomplishments thread)

I just wanted to revive this thread and see how everyone did with their goals, since the year is almost finished.

My goal was to gain some weight and eat more. It took a long time to get to that this year. It didn’t start happening until October, but I have gained enough, so I think next year, I will just maintain.

And you?

Great job, Kling!

There is still a month of the year to go, so I'm not counting it over yet! Plenty can be done before the new year.

I'm very happy. I'm down 87 pounds so far this year, for a total of 152 lost. If I keep on track, I should hit my goal mid 2019. Chat Icon

Great job Ladies!

My goal was to break 20 minutes in my 5K. I ran a few 5K and PRed for 30 seconds, but did not break it. I actually ended up with a new PR of 20 minutes flat, which was exciting and disappointing at the same time.

In terms of lifting, I am so much stronger now than I was at the beginning of the year. I am very proud of myself with being consistent with my lifting!
