12 month old--- how much milk?
How much milk is your DC drinking? How did you introduce it? My dr confused me a bit... LOL... I'm still bfing so I know its a bit different for me, but just wondering what you all did. TIA!

I'd actually like to know how much also. My ped. said at 12 months they should be drinking 24 oz. milk a day.
I'm not sure how you make the switch when breastfeeding, but at first I switched cold turkey and he hated it so I had to add 1 oz. milk to 6 oz. formula and than kept increasing the milk over a coupld of weeks.

I introduced milk to DS when he was 11 years old. I took the formula away cold turkey and gave him milk. He was getting and still gets about 16 ozs a day.

Should I replace her 7ounce bottle with 7 ounces of milk? Or add a few ounces of milk to the formula? I am so confused

I honestly think this depends on the child, DS weaned himself off formula when he was 11 months, so I just started giving him milk.

id say dd drinks close to 20 ounces. Seven ounces when she wakes and before sleep and maybe 3 ounces with lunch and 3 with an afternoon snack.

We transitioned by starting with half formula/half milk and then just increasing the amount of milk.
It took about 2 weeks to fully transition. DD has about four 6 oz bottles a day

You mean in one bottle half formula/half milk?
Or half the days bottle are 100% milk and half are 100% formula?

I think she makes the bottles with half formula and half milk. Or made them that way!

dd is 12 mths and the ped told me she just only have 16-18oz of milk a day. i started to introduce it in her bottles, adding one ounce per day t each bottle, after a few days she was on just straight milk..she didnt seem to have any issues with the switch...hth..goodluck!
