as for picking family over friends cause "they'll always be there" thats not necessarily true.
My godfather is not a part of my life and he's my UNCLE. My father had a falling out with him 20 years ago, and they don't really communicate anymore. In fact, this uncle has pretty much separated himself from the entire family.
So go with who you WANT.

I think I am going to stick with her. She already had her heart broken by someone she loved (and thought she was going to be married to), and to take away her role as godmother, (which she was looking forward to)it would kill her.
