We’ve all been “warned” giving children too much sugar, even natural sugars like those in fresh squeezed fruit juice. On the other hand, we all know the benefits of real fruit juice and it’s importance for health and nutrition. In fact, fruits and veggies can pack a powerful punch of antioxidants. And, according to experts the “best” source of a “fruit-juicy punch” comes from cloudy apple juice. In fact, the cloudier, the better.

Research reveals that pulp containing, non-clarified juice offered greater antioxidant power than purified and clear juice. According to experts, the clear juice is subject to additional processing that removes any apple solids. And, they add that many manufacturers suggest that consumers show favor toward the clearer juice while retailers like it because of its lengthier shelf life. However, they add that those looking for health benefits from this beverage should seek out more opaque options.
