  • 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk
  • 1 1/4 cup of raisins (best way is soak raisins in water the night before makes them plump)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoon of melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 4 cups of Flour

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a big bowl. Mix with your hands. cook @ 350 degrees for an hour When done wrap in dish towel & cool on it's side (I put it on the dish tray) this will make either 1 big loaf or 2 med size loafs.
