The inside of my grill is peeling
I have a Weber, it's 2 or 3 years old. The lid has a coating of something on it I guess and it is coming off. Under the coating is a nice shiney grill. Is that supposed to happen???

It's probably just carbon build-up. My dad has had a weber for years and this happens on his. He says that he just slams the grill down hard before he cleans it to knock it off. The nice shiney coating is actually the grill under the build-up.

Re: The inside of my grill is peeling
i've heard that webers are likely to do this. It amazes me that they are so expensive, yet the inside peels. This is why we didn't buy a weber.
