Title Clearance?
About how long did it take from the time your attourney ordered the title to the time it cleared?

ordering title and clearing title are 2 different things. when your attorney orders the title report, it should take no longer than 2 weeks to come in. then he needs to sit down and review the report and make sure all CO's and necessary permits are in place. if not, he will need to speak to the sellers attorney to re-negotiate and/or work with the title company to make sure there are no problems with the title "chain" and make sure all previous mortgages on the home are satisfied. but if there are no problems and he's not swamped with work it should take no longer than a few days for the title company to clear it. then you're good to close! good luck!!!!
