Tipping appliance repairman?
I have a repair guy coming later to fix my washer (it is still under warranty- so being paid for by the warranty company). Am I supposed to tip the repair guy and if so how much?

We had 2 repair calls on our fridge this summer- which was also under warranty. We did tip the guy both times. $20
The first guy had to change a compressor which was a lot of work and he was here a long time- plus we didn't have to pay for it (since we had the extended warranty) and it would have been like an $800 job with parts and labor- so we figured we'd throw him $20
It's not necessary though and they don't expect it

Tipping appliance repairman?
Appliance repair this past summer, too. Mine was also under warranty so I wasn't paying if it could be fixed. First visit to diagnose, yes gave him 20.00. Came back to do the big job and we gave him another 20.00. I don't think it's necessary, but he appreciated it.

We always tip $20 a person, can't imagine not tipping a service person.
