Any new pet peeves to rant about?
I'll go first...
My brother's newest thing is to have me on speaker phone at all times but doesn't tell me. So the other day I shared a story with him in front of his whole family while I did not know. Rude and inconsiderate.
Today, I needed to speak with him about something for his wife and the sh!t for brains didn't mention I was on speaker so there went the surprise! I wrapped up the call by calling him a d!ck.
Is it me or do you have a mandatory obligation to inform a caller they are on speaker and have a whole audience? My uncle does it too and it's so friggan annoying!
Okay...who is next?

Yes they should definitely say they are on speaker phone if anyone is around. ITA with that.

Customers who don’t understand we (and every other retail business ) are understaffed and can only do so much!!!
I get it. You’re used to getting appointments exactly when you need them but it just isn’t working out that way these days. Come sept when the extra stimulus is up, maybe NYers will be ready and willing to work again. Until then? Stop taking it out on those doing the job of 3 people !

Any new pet peeves to rant about?
Not really new but on going, flimsy paper bags at the supermarket. Who makes those things and why are they not made of stronger material and with handles. And i know, double bag but isn't that a waste?!

Oh it is so annoying!!!! And now that bathing suit/wet towel season is here, I am really missing those plastic bags.

I feel bad for small businesses that are dealing with this. One of the companies I use in my business is so far behind in their work and she was expressing her frustrations today too. I really hope things get better for you soon.

That has to be so hard. Did you see the Newsday article on flavor shortages at Ralph's Italian Ice.? "More of the adults cry than the kids, honestly," said Scott Rosenberg, who runs eight Ralph's across the tristate area. "I've been doing this for 25 years and I've never seen it like this. One lady couldn't get her cherry jubilee, and she was not a happy girl."

And THIS is why we have an obesity problem in America. People up in arms over not being able to get their chosen flavor of pure sugar.

I'm sure on your end it's even harder as more people have gotten dogs during the pandemic - so fewer workers and more potential clients leads to longer wait times.

Absolutely. And so many have doodle mixes and have no idea how to care for their coats. So matted messes by the time they can get in.
Though we have stopped accepting new clients for the time being because we cannot service our existing clients on a regular basis.
It’s a lose lose for all. Clients who would groom their pets every 5-6 weeks have to wait 10 or more for appts most times. We lose money, their dogs aren’t looking their best and we are stressed bc the dogs keep coming in knotted or severely matted. I try my best to explain that you have to brush & comb your dog a few times a week to keep their coat clear of knotting and I get “I never had to do it before, I had him groomed every 5 weeks”. I get it. Believe me. But now we all have to pitch in and do a little more to get us through - so please brush and comb your dogs. Don’t wash your dog without brushing and combing before and after. If your dog swims? Brush and comb before and after. If not, it’s like shearing sheep instead of giving a nice cut

Any new pet peeves to rant about?
My husband was one of DS' baseball coaches for the summer league and I was asked to contribute to the coach gift in a tone that came across that the head coach did almost all of the work (which he didn't) so I am annoyed. And she didn't ask the whole team.
I sorted the uniforms and dealt with the missing pieces while the head coach was away and DH was at work. I booked the end of season party and am paying for the guest fees at our pool. And contributing to the food.
In the grand scheme of things it is small but, it just really irks me lol #firstworldproblems

Today I was annoyed by slow walkers on their cell phones in crowded areas.
Oh and the huge group of pupils who got on the u-Bahn at the zoo subway station during a class trip and crowded the subway when regulations clearly say you shouldn’t.

One of my pet peeves is phrases or words that everyone uses.
I HATE with a passion the word Babe. It started in high school and the only time I will use it, is to sing Styx lol
I love you to the moon and back. Why only go the moon? Lol
I am (so many years) around the sun
I am sure I have more but you get the gist.

After sending out "Save The Date", they cancel but never tell everyone. This has happened 3x to me (and none had to do with Covid).
I think next time, I'm going to require a deposit to save the date.

It depresses me and makes me feel like the summer is over when it just started. Dd was in school until June 24th.
Come on.
We don't go back until September 8th

I hate when couples need to tag each other in every Facebook post.
I get it if it's some significant event for your kids that maybe you want his side of the family to see but I always think it's weird if it's just a random "Susie Smith is FEELING HAPPY - with John Smith at Carvel - getting ice cream!!! "

Funny you say that as my husband will do that when I am not with him and people will say to me when I see them, how was the movie or this or that. I am always like I wasn’t there. Most of the time I have no interest in going but he still likes to tag me.
It could be worse so I pick my battles :)
