Covid here in December 2019

COVID-19 ALERT: A new analysis of blood samples from 24,000 Americans suggests that the coronavirus was in the U.S. in Dec. 2019.

Been saying that since the beginning when I knew people, my husband, one who was in bed for days.

it was always thought the first case in the U.S. was in January.

Maybe believe they had it before then.

Right. But so what.

Why are you so consumed by all things COVID? Weird.

Self control is not posting garbage simply for attention. We're all moving forward from COVID, you should too. It's not healthy to keep obsessing about it. It's June, who cares what happened in December.

Yes, look at all of the interest on this thread. We were all clamoring to hear that *maybe* COVID was here in December instead of January. This is life altering news.

Why not join in on the other threads that have nothing to do with random COVID crap. Seriously, you're grasping at straws to keep any conversation about COVID going. Why?

I'm not at all surprised. My mother had a very serious respiratory illness in January/February and I truly believe it was Covid. My son had it as well and was on a nebulizer for 2 weeks- negative for flu/strep/etc.

I thought this was quite interesting as most of us felt it was around and maybe that is why many either didn’t get very sick or didn’t at all as maybe they had it back then.

I can say the sky is blue and she will come on here and attack me but others will post about what condiments you love and she thinks they walk on water.

This is not really new news.

And what impact does this have on us now?

I have seen people saying maybe this was the Juling thing they were all concerned about. Thinking it was from smoking but it was actually Covid back in the fall of 2019.

But that effected mostly young people- and very severely. So then you're saying covid DID effect teens in a very detrimental way?

Possible. Lots of people who were sick in Nov/Dec think it might have been Covid. I'm surprised they said Dec. I think its been introduced into the world in Oct to be honest. I did fly in nov 2019 and again in march 2020..thankfully no one in my party of people got sick either time.

Yup but you know some people don’t even care just like it doesn’t make a difference where it started.
Nah let’s not plan for the future in case something like this ever happens again.
Silly people like me who find this information important.

I mean the minute there was a case out of our country, it was only a matter a time. I think the first case of “community spread” was in Colorado? I feel like it was somewhere out West. We were doomed from the start because that’s how global pandemics go. I remember being freaked out and everyone was shrugging, but I saw Contagion and knew what we were in store for Chat Icon

Sickest I've ever been.
Perhaps it was another strain of a Coronavirus.
Or maybe I am patient zero and it just was dormant for 7 years.

Covid here in December 2019

I find this so interesting. I rarely get sick, and the last week of December 2019 I had a bug that lasted for a week+. I have never been so sick in my life. A cough that caused me to sleep sitting up all night and I often felt like I couldn't breathe. The exhaustion was mind blowing as well. I have been wondering on and off for the last year if that was Covid - even though everyone keeps telling me the timeline doesn't work.
