Funny how nobody is allowed to question you when you say you don't believe in the vaccine or social distancing because "that's my right and it's nobody's business" but you spend an awful lot of time worrying about what everyone else is doing.
You throw around brainwashed an awful lot, but you seem to be one of the only people on here who comes across as brainwashed, with an irrational fear of government control. News flash: the government isn't going to use wearing masks while alone as a form of government control. Look at North Korea. THAT is government control. Helping slow the spread of a virus that has killed 600,000 Americans and permanently changed the lives of millions of people is not control...its human decency. Things are getting better so things are easing and reopening. Government control would be if we were still in March/April 2020 style lockdown.

Every time I try to resume some normalcy, someone I know contracts Covid. And while most of them have been fine, I do have underlying health conditions and my anxiety skyrockets. I am fully vaccinated. That isn't to say we aren't doing anything, but we limit who we see, and what we do. My sister went to a restaurant and ate indoors with friends. Her friend did not tell her she'd be exposed, did not test & did not quarantine, she was not exhibiting symptoms. 48 hours later, my sister started exhibiting symptoms and tested positive a few days after that, so did her husband. She exposed our mom and her MIL, who are now quarantined. My sister had to miss being MOH at a family member's wedding bc of this selfish "friend" (her MIL who she has just seen AND HUSBAND were home with Covid and she neglected to tell my sister that until after my sister tested positive). So, while I'm all about getting back to normal, I'm still scared and don't trust people.
Being fully vaccinated doesn't ease that fear though?
If being fully vaccinated isn't enough for you to feel safe- what will be?
The vaccine is supposed to work to prevent infection and if you do get infected prevent severe symptoms, no?
Exactly it all makes no sense to me. People wanted this vaccine but they are still afraid to go out and will still wear makes. Soooo do you think it works or do you not?
Stop confusing FEAR with CAUTION which are two very different things. People are still being cautious until enough of the population is fully vaccinated at which point life can be more "normal".
That is total fear if you are thinking that you could get he virus and leave your children. That is possible, unfortunately and sadly everyday from anything. We don’t stop driving or flying or walking or doing anything. We can be more cautious but many are feared like the OP mentioned.
YOU said above that people wanted the vaccine but are still "afraid" to which I replied that people aren't fearful, they are cautious until enough people are vaccinated. Now isn't the time to ditch the masks and go back to regular living but soon enough that will be the case. In the meantime people will continue to be cautious.
You do realize Fauci and the CDC will not give you a percentage of people whom are vaccinated that will happen. How that doesn’t bother people who have been vaccinated is beyond me.
I think people need to have a choice now. You want to wear a mask, wear one, if not, just like you are putting your life in jeopardy driving a car or flying or skydiving, that should be an individual decision.
Wearing a mask helps protect others. They can't help that I am exposed at work on a consistent basis, and if we both happen to be in the same place at the same time, I'll keep my mask on to keep them safe. If we're going to use a skydiving analogy, I'd say it's more like - I'm willing to go skydiving, but I'm not willing to drag a random bystander along with me.

This thread is a great example of what is wrong with you as a poster. I used to think you kept getting banned because you violated the TOS but maybe it's because of threads like this. IDK.
People acquiesced to your demand for explanations with several logical examples that covered different facets of the situation. Why it might stay on by accident. Why on purpose. Etc.
Most people would say, "oh, ok, cool, I disagree but whatever."
You, however, pushed and pushed - like a preschooler in absolute finest form - and topped it off by condescending to people and calling people brainwashed.
Then you say all sort of random things, including bringing up the number of kids someone has in conjunction with how often they post (which, if that isn't pot/kettle/black I have no idea what is.)
Then you act all innocent when someone snaps.
If you are going to push a point in the densest way possible then label people in a nasty and rude manner, dripping with condescension, then you do not get to take umbrage at whatever quip comes back at you.

It’s a beautiful day! Get out there off of your small , medium or large asses with or without your masks on. Just be careful with the sun. Mask tan lines would be next level.
I believe i have a medium sized ass. I definitely got a little junk in the trunk, but i don't believe it would be classified as a "fat" ass.

DH, my mom, DS, and I all got outside today for a bit and it was lovely.
Ass sizes: 3 medium for the adults and 1 small for DS, thanks in part to playing on 2 baseball teams

It’s a beautiful day! Get out there off of your small , medium or large asses with or without your masks on. Just be careful with the sun. Mask tan lines would be next level.

DH, my mom, DS, and I all got outside today for a bit and it was lovely.
Ass sizes: 3 medium for the adults and 1 small for DS, thanks in part to playing on 2 baseball teams
It WAS a beautiful day. That is something we all can agree on.

I took my fab ass outside today, mask and everything.
OP, I'm not living anything close to a normal life, since I don't go to the gym, I don't go to have manis and pedis, or lunches as often as I used to. I'm returning to some sort of normalcy and going to outdoor lunches with friends once in a blue moon. The activity we do the most is going to my DS's baseball games. And we have taken vacations, but going to houses were we don't interact with anyone. Although I went to my home country back in December to visit my mom, when ICU's were really occupied, but I was always masked and luckily it went well for me; but 2 of my mom's neighbors died of covid during the 3 weeks I was there, so it's not a joke.

We had to return to normal for our mental well being. I personally started to feel like Charlie Brown when Lucy keeps moving that football. We also saw the writing in the wall for our state and made a huge move to a different state. We are much happier now. I’ve had Covid and will get the vaccine at some point this summer
