Even though I really, really want it to happen, I doubt anything will come out of it. There’s a lot of corruption and even though a few Dems have come out forward, not in his favor, that’s not enough. I mean look at what they ended up deciding, they just stopped him from implementing any new mandate/restriction but he can totally still have complete control on all the restrictions/mandates in place already, he can extend them or make any other changes if that’s what he wishes for.

I can't get behind some people's outrage over Cuomo when they continued to support Trump even after the multiple allegations of sexual misconduct over the years. For that reason, if a president wasn't held accountable for his actions, why should a governor be?
That being said, I'm not so sure anything will come from this. Time will tell.

I agree. I am not condoning what he did, and I can't stand the man- but I haven't liked him long before any of this started. Trump was a million times worse than Cuomo could ever hope to be, and so many didn't care.
To be honest with you, not only do I think nothing will come of it, I also think he will again next year.

You mean the nursing homes? Horrible situation but again, Trump wasn't held accountable for the hundreds of thousands of Americans who died of COVID on his watch due to his inaction and ineptitude.
Again, (not directed at you personally) I have to laugh when I see anyone on the right losing their $hit over Cuomo when they sat idly by during Trump's reign of terror for four years.

Sadly, I don't think anything will come of it.
I would love to see him resign and be held accountable, but that's not how politics work in this country.
He is basically everything single thing that Donald Trump is (an egomanic bully, a predator, etc., the list goes on and on)..but he's a democrat.
Same thing...different party.

I agree. 2 wrongs don't make a right. Both were wrong. Just because one wasn't punished doesn’t mean the other shouldn't be.
Just because one murderer gets away with it, doesn't mean we stop procescuting all murderers after that.

No left or right for me, I’m more an in the middle kind of person. I get what u’re saying. In my eyes, Trump is no saint, there were some things wrong in there. He’s not the president anymore and he’s gonna have to face the consequences of what happened during his term. Right now we’re talking about Cuomo though. It’s not about comparing one with another, Cuomo is still serving as a representative and now that it’s time to hold him accountable for the many wrong doings he has done and gotten away with, it's only fair that we focus on what HE has done and not compared him with anyone else. I think that when people start doing that, it comes across as if his wrong doings have less relevance and therefore he’s less of a POS than -insert whoever u’re comparing him with-.

You're not making the right comparison at all. When a large swath of this country had zero issue with the sexual indiscretions of a sitting president but now have their panties in a wad over Cuomo, it reeks of hypocrisy.
I agree with you that sexual harassment is sexual harassment but unfortunately, some people seem to think you can pick and choose what sexual harassment is worth acknowledging and what sexual harassment is worth sweeping under the rug. When it comes to this situation with Cuomo, the "right" really needs to step down from their moral high ground because it's laughable. It absolutely matters that the same people who didn't care about Trump grabbing women by the pu$$y or forcing himself on them now have an attack of morality and are calling for Cuomo's head. Give me a break.

Trump will never be my moral benchmark.
Cuomo seems like a pretty d*ck of a dude. I do appreciate what he did during the pandemic and while yes I realize the controversy with the assisted living, I do think he was acting in a “war time”
Mentality and trying to preserve the overall system. I’m not excusing him but I do think he was trying. These were early days of Chaos and if I had to chose between him trying and trump doing nothing, I’d pick trying.
I have no excuses for his lack of transparency and honesty. I think the death counts were counted but the full impact of his decisions was dishonest.
I think he’s prob a POS misogynist who treats women poorly. I want to not compare his transgressions against trump as both are disgusting and to me 1 is too many.
I would like more out of my politicians. I will never vote Republican. I hope someone better steps up. If not, I’m forced with the difficult choice of bad vs worse. Republican will always be worse for me (I used to be independent, I’ve changed).

I get the general message of your post, Sash, and otherwise would tend to agree. We collectively allowed someone the highest office in the land (and a Supreme Court judge) to flow through and that is the standard that was set for men. We can’t just forget that was the bar we set, what we accept, and how other men (like Cuomo) see we accept. It emboldens them.
When we ignore one powerful man who abuses his power, we essentially create and enable the next one.
