VB spread disinformation on a daily basis. Then when asked to verify her information, she told everyone to google it. It's one thing to disagree with someone, but she posted actual "alternative facts" about politics and covid all the time. Many social media companies and message boards are banning users for such behavior. Add that to the fact that she toed the line on doxxing someone? I'm honestly surprised she lasted this long.

Wow , if you guys don't think she's dangerous, I don't know what to say. It is the mark of a seriously disturbed person to do what VB does. The way she goes after Klingkland and Hofstra was insane!!! VB is a disgusting person, if she is even real, and the way she would not stop going at KK, who we all know was going through some emotional issues at the time, well I can see how she snapped and said that to VB. Still not saying it was right or that I'd do it, but I can see how someone could be driven to it.

As for the hypocrisy.. I find it hysterical that if you go against the majority on Politics you get your @ss chewed out. If you look at my exchange with JLM there is no reason for the level of attack:

-attitude
-aggressive
-therapy
I get all this backlash because, with, snark I asked what part of my statement she was tripping on? Especially since day 1, I have said that both posters were wrong. But I’m going to take a guess that people are going to either ignore it or say that the poster suggesting I have mental health issues and need to seek therapy is OK.
I find it both ironic and comical.
It’s gonna probably get ignored just like my question from when it was said in this thread that being an a$$hole, or annoying is enough reason to get someone booted, I asked if anyone that constantly belittles, degrades, or wishes someone to die deserve the same treatment...I got crickets.
I think there was more to VB's removal than just the insults or being annoying. But regardless, and to answer your question, I don't agree with any of that behavior and don't disagree with admin's decision to remove any user if they see fit. The rules are posted above. Things get heated on these boards sometimes, but I just don't think anything on this site is that serious that we need to go down that path. But that's just my opinion.
But I believe in fairness and balance. So yeah. The same rules apply to everyone. Earlier in this thread I said if I act in this manner then I can expect to be removed. So it goes without saying I think the same for anyone else.

I agree with this.
I think this thread has just gone so haywire it's hard to keep track of who said what and what to respond to anymore.
I'll add that accountability counts for something too and IIRC the poster in reference took some accountability while VB has taken none that I know of for her misinformation, disinformation, nastiness, and condescension.
So far her username is not "invalid" so I don't think she was banned anyway. Unless I'm missing something. But it doesn't matter because they'll be another iteration anyway.

VB's comments and behavior on this board went beyond being an a$$hole or having a difference of opinion. WAY beyond.
Again, we all manage to have civil conversations on this board even with a difference of opinion. VB on the other hand would continue to PURPOSELY stir up $hit on EVERY thread with her misinformation, irrelevant comments or personal attacks/insults. She NEVER wanted to discuss the topic at hand, instead she would throw out these completely idiotic comments just to aggravate everyone, derail the thread and make the conversation ALL about her. EVERY time! When people, myself included, got to a point where we were insulting her it's because she NEVER let up with her barrage of insulting and unintelligent comments and we were sick of her. She literally ruined EVERY SINGLE POST on this board. Not one thread EVER stayed on topic when she joined in.
You cannot compare her behavior on the politics board to anyone else's, she was in a league all her own. Continuing to defend her actions makes you look foolish because when almost everyone on here is telling you the same thing and TBTB removed her maybe there is a valid reason. She wasn't just a a$$hole, she was a toxic force on these boards.

Thank u! That’s exactly what I’ve been trying to say and others as well. I can totally understand if a person reacts in the heat of the moment and lashes out but doing it time after time with such degrading words, utterly attacks, constantly going for the jugular...page after page, every day, nonstop and still unable to recognize those actions is pretty disturbing. I wholeheartedly believe the same as you regarding rules should be applied to everyone and in fairness and balance. It’s not about defending VB, it’s about the hypocrisy and the lack of comprehending that bad behavior doesn’t excuse bad behavior.
Regarding the part that she has supposedly searched for info outside LIF, we don’t know with certainty but if it indeed happened and that’s the reason why the admin decided to suspend her profile then they’re in their right to do so.

It was not. With the exception of MC09, all I’ve seen is people conveniently ignoring my question or acknowledging that bad behavior also came from the other side too buttttt, and that’s a big BUT, VB had it coming and she deserved it. We can’t justify the use of insults like trash, moron, stupid, psycho, weirdo, nobody wants you here, and the list goes on and on and on. And it’s sad to say that a good amount of these came from u which I gotta tell u...it surprised me when I first noticed it cause I don’t remember u being this way, not here on LIF or in ur fb cooking page. Maybe that’s why she kept answering ur comments in passive aggressive ways? Who knows. Perhaps you missed some responses but your question was addressed.
KK pointed out the word constantly and my interpretation of that is to point out the false equivalency. No one else was doing what VB was doing ALL of the time. (KK, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)
Others stated why what VB was doing went over a line, possibly violating terms of service.
Explaining that bad behavior from either side isn't acceptable but that VB went too far with some of her actions is answering your question, just perhaps not the way you like.
I said this in another post but accountability comes into play too. And VB never took any unless I missed it.

My question was simple...if “being annoying and a sh!t stirrer is enough reason to get someone booted” (that is literally what a poster said in this same thread), then would someone repeatedly using degrading terminology be enough reason to deserve the same treatment? That’s it. U’re right, I might indeed have missed some responses in this thread, I mean we’re well into page 8 already, it’s possible. But even before, when this whole discussion kept happening pretty much every single day nobody ever addressed the behavior from those using defamatory language. I made references several times in different threads and it just went over their heads, nobody addressed it, ever. That’s the hypocrisy I’m pointing out. And what was it that VB was doing ALL the time? Making passive aggressive comments? Derailing threads? Yes I saw that. I could see how it could have been annoying for some people but is that reason to belittle her so much? Some people say she was searching in LIF for info? I can’t give u a def answer for that because it’s not something that we know she did with certainty, hence why many of us have said people remember what they read, I even remember many stories from LIW when I was in that forum a longggg time ago, so it can go both ways. Regarding constantly, yes, you are correct.
My past remark was one time, and I did address that in this thread already. She pushed me too far. I’m not going to keep repeating myself and taking accountability over and over again when I have done that already.
VB said to me at one point that I should not have the same screen name for other forums, and that info was public, and more VB drivel. She looked outside of LIF. I’m not going to go into more detail but there was info about another poster that was not on this forum.
Fine if you want to look on FB for info on posters, then do so. BUT keep it to yourself and don’t use it against someone.
An FM was sent and TPTB said VB was banned (this is explained a few pages back). I don’t know how that ban was done and why she isn’t an inactive user now.

This is getting ridiculous. The issues with VB have been explained to you MULTIPLE times at this point, you just refuse to listen to what is being said to you. If you don't agree that is fine but it's time to move on.

I get what you're saying.
Regarding the searching, she herself constantly stated that she searched for info on LIF about people as a point of pride. She just did it in the stupid age post about me. She was like "search feature. Shrug." So we do know for sure in the sense that she admitted it.
Again, I don't really give a shit, or at least not that much of one, but when synthesized with the searching outside of LIF (and I'm taking the word of two posters I have a level of trust with about that) it just went over the top for some people.
I just wrote a whole other paragraph and then deleted it in the interest of putting this all behind us after seeing KK's statement that VB's banning was confirmed a few pages back. If that's the case, no need to discuss further. She'll probably be back, but whatever. Yawn lol.

I do agree with soontobemommy that some of the behavior I saw surprised me as it was very out of character for some posters.
Idk .. but something weird is going on behind the scenes. A lot of this obsessiveness, ignoring posts and truths is so off the charts crazy even for LIF.
But then again, I’m just a troll, bot on the wrong side of history.
You sometimes come across as one of the nastiest people on here so if you want more accountability hold onto your hat.

You're always jumping down seaside's throat.
You sarcastically called someone (can't remember who) a "genius" the other day.
There are other examples but I don't remember details about everything.
Personally, I have chosen to just give it back to you rather than call you out because that's more fun and really, who gives a shit anyway.

That is what we are referring to.. not every detail or nitty gritty offense that VB did. People acknowledge that she wasn’t in the right, but no one else is being accountable for the juvenile behavior that they actively participated in.
Why is it ok for JLM to say I need therapy for basically nothing but VB saying that months ago (within reason) keeps being brought up over and over again as a reason to defend your actions. But yet no one has called out this poster for saying that?

Again.. So basically it’s ok for you guys to say whatever you want when you are butt hurt over something. There’s always an excuse for why you and your little gang are allowed to say something. Pretty rich.
And I have apologized on here before with sane posters when we got into disagreements. I am accountable for what I say and do. Unlike the group I am referring about, I don’t think I’m always right. I don’t care that you think I’m nasty, I never denied that, if that’s how people feel. I don’t have to like you and you don’t have to like me. Nasty to me, is people acting like they are superior, condescending, bullies and turning their nose up at others - that’s nasty.
Seems like I’m only nasty when the truth hurts. But it’s ok for me to be called names because you and your little posse don’t like me. Then all of sudden it’s allowed to go below the belt. Hysterical that you even think your explanation makes sense.
Seaside isn’t this innocent victim, so let’s stop already.
