Cellular providers

Verizon is expensive...thinking of switching.

What provider do you use? Any issues?

Thank you!

I have Sprint. I switched from Verizon after being with them for 16 years and my bills just kept increasing. They wanted to do nothing to keep me. My bill with Sprint is $75/month less than it was with Verizon. To me the service is a bit spotty, but so was Verizon. The providers are all neck and neck these days in regards to service.

I use Tracfone prepaid. For $99 I get a new phone and a year of service. Runs on verizon towers, so I may as well have verizon service. It is $5 for 1000 texts and $10 for data if you go over or use a lot. But it is still cheaper than a monthly plan. I have been using it for 4 years now and have zero complaints.

We just left sprint for T-Mobile. Our bill is about $35 cheaper a month with T-Mobile including our phone leases than sprint. The service is much better too.

We have had T Mobile for a few years now. We have service issue in certain place when we travel but only in places that are rural.

I have Straight Talk, $50 a month unlimited everything. My phone runs on Verizon towers. I've had them for almost 10 years, no issues

Re: Cellular providers

I've had T-mobile for about 15 years or so. Much cheaper than a lot of the other providers, and with wi-fi calling, I often have better reception than any other providers, since I just need a wifi connection to talk and text, instead of just relying on a cell connection.

At my house, none of the providers get a good signal. However, with wifi calling, I always have a strong, clear signal.

DW and DS have Tracphones, which works great for them, since they don't use their phones as much.

We just switched to Metro PCS and are paying half of what we were paying with Verizon for exactly the same service. $80 a month for 2 lines, unlimited data. We are going to switch to the lower plan which is $60 for 2 lines and not unlimited but still more than enough data for us considering we are always on wifi.

Re: Cellular providers

We used Verizon until it got too cost prohibitive for even the most basic plan and the taxes are ridiculous! I strongly recommend using an MVNO like Virgin Mobile or Tello if Sprint coverage is good in your area. I've tried both and am using Tello now. It's great, I'm paying $24 for unlimited voice, text and 3GB of data.

The only drawback is you do have to be careful about which phones you use as not all are compatible...
