Is my gym worth it
We are going to a free class at the Huntington location today, stony brook is closer but this fits in my schedule. Do you think the classes are worth the price?

I do. I didn't do my gym but another similar program. I feel like my son is more social, is more adventurous and has great motor skills because of it. It was also a great way to get out of the house and meet other moms.

I love my gym, especially the Huntington location. Plus it's unlimited classes. So you register for a home class (day/time) and you can sign up weekly for as many classes that week that has openings. They even have classes on Saturday and Sunday.

I take DS to a My Gym location and he absolutely loves it. It has helped him interact with kids and talks more. I agree with a previous poster that his motor skills increased dramatically because of it.

Awesome thanks! I signed my twins up we had a great class. I was told it's unlimited classes and then the home class. My work schedule rotates so I'm glad I can go between the 2 locations even though Huntington is significantly further! It was our first one and my kids were definitely the younger bunch but hopefully they develop more interactions since they aren't in a daycare! I got 25% off with the twins as well so that helped the cost!

Any program like this is totally worth it IMO, especially w/ the fall and winter approaching. When I am home w/ my son I like having an option to take him to something like this bec it totally breaks up the day.

I'm very friendly with the owner, been going there for years. It's the same owner for stony brook and Huntington.

Debbie? I think that's who I spoke with when faking to schedule! Either way, everyone was very nice. I'm just going to go to whatever location works for my schedule for that week! Hoping to get there at least 2x weekly.

Re: Is my gym worth it
Did it with my first two... didn't bother with my third. It certainly did not help my second with her motor skills and I felt that the time period that they were there (14mo-almost 3), the kids didn't really "socialize". Socialization really seemed to set in after 3 (more like 3.5) in preschool (even if they were in class before that age). On the flip side, it was a fun thing for me to do with each individual kid as a mommy and me thing. They enjoyed the classes and I did too. ETA: it is a good place to go in the fall. I was fond of one site because it was never a germ fest!
