1st Birthday - Labor Day Weekend
Just want to get some opinions. My sons first birthday is September 7th. I was planning on having the party September 9th but my brother has a wedding (they always have something) so now the only other day I can do it is September 2nd, which is Labor Day weekend.
Is it rude to have a party on Labor Day weekend? lol
I mean, personally I wouldnt care if someone did because we dont typically go away or anything since school starts that week - but thats just me.
would you care if you had to go to a backyard party on labor day weekend? 2-5PM

I think it is fine since people celebrate over the entire weekend, not just concentrated on one day.
I would send out invites ASAP though.

DS's bday is first week in Sept ... we did his 1st bday party LDW on a Sunday ... we ended up have 98 people. You're fine!

I usually spend Labor Day in a depression that summer is ending so we never have any plans. To me, it's not anything to celebrate. 
So we'd be free for a bday party, sure!

Same here. Almost everyone came to DD's 1st birthday, labor day weekend.

DS' birthday is September 8th and we've had his party a few times over Labor Day weekend. Never had an issue!
