As long as there's stuff to do in the area, especially inexpensive stuff (beach, pool, park for hiking or whatever), I'd probably go. You say you have a good time with this group. I wouldn't pay $300 per night to sit in a house full of kids in the middle of nowhere though.

Nope. For $900 a night... I want to be in a 5 star hotel on an island...

Is it in the Poconos? There is a lot to do in the Poconos. Or is it in one of those gated communities with a lake? They tend to have a lot of activities. I would probably go if there were things to do in the area.
