Price per square foot

We are thinking about dormering our home. What is the average cost per square foot for this type of project? My neighbor told me she paid $150 per square foot? Has anybody paid less?

Your best bet is to budget for the $150/sf. Typically it could run between $100/sf - $125/sf. But then you have to remember there is plumbing and electric that goes with it, flooring, Central Air if you;re putting it in.....we ran around $150/sf when I account for all of that.
