I don't have much information, but the son of a former co-worker of mine went to McGill and my co-worker talked often about what a great experience his son had there. Good luck to your daughter!

I think it might depend on what she wants to do. Certain degrees might not translate if her after graduation career needs a certification but then again I have no experience but that would be my only concern.

McGill is considered one of, if not the, top Canadian university. It's a fabulous school in an amazing city. I think it sounds like a wonderful opportunity to experience something different without having to travel halfway across the world.
(I'm Canadian, btw, so that's where my info comes from - many, many friends of mine went to McGill.)
