Nursery school open house?
I just found out about an open house at a catholic school that has a nursery program I'm interested in. DD will be 3 in April and we want to send her in September.
Dumb question - do I bring her? My mom will watch DS and DD if I want but is this to talk to the teachers and admin or to see her in the environment? She's been in a horrible mood this whole week, and I'm a bit afraid she will be a grump! But she also loves new people and would probably have fun.
The website doesnt really say.

I would think children would be welcome. I brought DD to a few preschool open houses.

The one for my daughters catholic school, some children attended and others didn't. I chose to leave dd at home just so I could really concentrate and ask questions.

I brought my DD to every preschool I toured. I wanted to see her reaction to the schools.

I never brought my son or daughter only because it would be too distracting for me. I also didnt really see any children during the tours.

we did not bring our kids to the Catholic school we toured. We only toured 1 school and decided on that. But we wanted to be able to fully listen to what was being said and get all the details. We were able to see inside each classroom once classes started and we saw how the children loved their teachers. When we toured there though it was for our twins so having both of them with us plus their younger brother would have been a lot. If you are able to only bring 1 child, I would definitely bring her then.

For the pre K open houses we've gone to, we all go together... DH stays with the kids mostly & I ask questions & pay attention more.

Nursery school open house?
Thank you, everyone! DH is working so it would be me alone. After going back and forth a lot I decided to leave her with my mom because I want to pay attention and not be distracted. I imagine if we decide to enroll her there, they will want to meet her first? Do they have some sort of screening for 3 year olds or is that just kindergarten?

Every place I am sure is different. Where we are for the 3 yearcild program they have a day about a week before school starts where they invite the 3 year olds to come to their classrooms and meet their teachers and classmates. The AM classes go at one time and then the PM classes go at another time. There were no screenings, tbat didn't happen for us until kindergarten
