Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day
Each year on this day I remember the victims of the Catastrophe and thank G'd for my family, my children and our peaceful existence. We might not have everything we want, but we have everything we need and more.
Each year on this day I think of the children who were ripped out of their mothers' arms and thrown into the horrors of the concentrations camps and the gas chambers.
Each year on this day I think that if I was born only 50 years before I was, it would have been ME and MY kids in the ghettos and Auschwitz.
Please join me in a moment of silence to remember the victims. May we never forget.

This is the uncle, I believe, of my grandfather. The picture of his grandfather that was taken by him hangs in my grandfathers house. Please take the time to read about him and see some of his pictures Here. Thank you.

very powerful. thanks for posting this. my grandmother was also in the Lodz ghetto; sent to 3 concentration camps after and by a miracle survived. so did my grandfather, who survived Auschwitz somehow.

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day
My Grandma and her mother survived multiple concentration camps her last being Aushwichz Her stories haunt me but they are true survivors. Her brother was killed in front of her and her father survived barely. Never forget (she will be 90 in May)

Never forget. Kinda disappointing, 144 people looked at this post and only 4 comments. With all the political BS that has been happening on both the news and LIfamilies.... so few comments, sad imo

Until this year I didn't even know that there was a holocaust rememberence day. My father was Jewish and my husband us Jewish. I think all the time about how things would be if we lived thru WWII. My mothers father was German. His parents got him out before the war but his brother remained. Im sure he was forced into the SS. Horrible all around.
