Today is going to be awful.
For one thing, a dear friend of mine passed away suddenly and the funeral is in a few hours.
And then the start of this new error.
(Yes, I meant to write 'error')
This is going to be probably one of the worst days of my life, TBH.

The city is pretty quiet this morning! I missed my early bus and geared myself up to be late thinking there would be protests or what not. Instead I got here in 20 minutes and wondered if it had to do with the inauguration. Maybe everyone stayed home to watch this sh!tshow unfold?

Other than sorry for the loss of a friend (because any day of any year is never a good day to lose a loved one) this day is like any other.
Other than that. I posted on facebook this:
I didn't vote for Obama
I didn't like a lot of his policies
I have waited for the day he'd finally leave
I won't post useless negative memes about him
Why bother? Can't fix his errors by pointing them out.
I didn't vote 'for' Trump but against Clinton
My vote didn't count as my County went securely to her
I am not complaining
I am not going to regret my vote, ever
I am never going to wish the POTUS death
I am never going to wish the POTUS failure for our country
I refuse to allow the media to feed me fears
As we welcome our new president voted by the majority of the counties in the country. I hope the people remember we unite as people not because of one man and one branch of our government. We have shown our ability for rally together for the greater good when it's for each other. Stop letting the media distract you into becoming that which you profess to hate. Don't bully those who didn't vote with you but work with your fellow Americans.
America isn't going to disappear in 4 years time. All on one day's action. Didn't 9/11 teach us that?
I just can't be negative. I'm so very fed up with all the negativity. I won't be negative to Obama. And to say he was some saint is just frustrating as well. But I'm just tired of all of it now. Can we just move forward and work to making things better for all of us? I keep hearing the rhetoric of Love trumps hate but all I ever see is hate and more hate and negativity. I just wish we could stop letting others tell us how to treat each other. We all agree we need to be better, do better and become more. Can't we all work together for that? It's what I teach the girls in my Girl Scout troop. If kids can do it, why can't we?
So today is Friday.. Yeah for Fridays.. we are alive. Smile. I have a beautiful little girl who grows with every second. I miss my father with every passing second, but I live on. I am grateful to be alive. I am more than grateful to live in THIS COUNTRY rather than any other place on this planet. In 4 years as an American citizen I have the right to vote again. Heck in less than that I will vote again to see those in my state of stupidity and how they represent me. As shown the massive number of counties however will vote against how I feel but I will continually vote because that's what we have to do....

Those who don't vote due to lack of caring are the biggest problem. Not those who vote against what you believe.. but those who don't vote at ALL!

I appreciate what you are saying, but I guess the whole - We need to unite thing - would seem so much more plausible if the PE didn't make such an effort to encourage such an Us vs Them theme in ALL of his speeches (and freaking tweets.) With the exception of his acceptance speech when, for just a few moments, I actually thought maybe he meant it when he said he wanted to unite the country.
I want to be positive- and I want our country to succeed. But I can't wish for him to succeed because to me, with the proposals and many of the things he has said he wants to do, that is wishing for him to succeed in bringing this country back decades.
I do hope in things like bringing back jobs and continuing to improve our economy - he will succeed. Though besides saying he has plans that are "great" and "tremendous" I don't feel like he has given any concrete ideas on how to achieve this. But if he can - without degrading and destroying the environment and other people in the process - then I'm all for it.
I am incredibly sad and disappointed today. I am scared for women and minorities and Muslims and the LGBTQ community and anyone who is marginalized.
I won't watch. I have no need to hear a narcissist talk about how tremendous he is. Maybe he'll surprise me and put country over self, but I honestly won't hold my breath.
