I absolutely swear by Vionic Orthaheel shoes- especially the flip flops. The literally saved my feet! I would wear them around the house when it would act up and it would go away after a while. I love them!
Thanks! I'll look into these. I'm so used to just wearing socks around the house… It's such a pain in the ass to have to wear my shoes with inserts but if I don't I'm in so much pain
Yes! The worst thing you can do is wear a flat or unsupportive shoe. I have pairs of these flip flops at work, in my car, etc. I am obsessed. The "Tide" is my favorite one. They feel very weird/uncomfortable at first but work them in and they will hopefully help you as much as they did me!
I am so excited to try these flip flops. I wear sneakers with inserts in the house. Bc if I wear flat shoes it hurts so bad.
You MUST work your way into them. You cant wear them 4 hours the first day, you will hurt yourself more. Start with an hour or two max.
great to know. TY. Why is that the case? Are they very firm? I am just curious.

They are firm and if you don't already have arches that high in the proper places then your foot has to get used to the right position.

People who suffer from plantar fasciitis ..
I had it for 3 months recently. Do not walk around barefoot ever. I bought a pair of new balance flip flops with arch support that I wear around the house. Avoid shoes that are not supportive -like ballet flats. I have a few pairs of dr. Scholls inserts that I use when I'm wearing flats. My podiatrist gave me a boot to wear at night-that helped a lot. He also showed me a way to tape my foot that I do when I am working out. Also cortisone shots. It took three before it started to help. And stretching first thing in the morning. Strangely, it disappeared one day as quickly as it came. But I still wear the boot a few times a week, and make sure to stretch, to keep it from coming back. It was miserable, especially since I'm a runner. Good luck!!
