What's the oldest model year car you've owned?
Even if you bought it brand-new, and got rid of it soon after, what's the oldest model-year car you've owned?
Mine is a 1974 Chevy Vega. I didn't have it for very long, and it was my first car, so it was actually newer (age-wise) than my current truck that I'm driving...

What's the oldest model year car you've owned?
My first car was a 1986 brown Volkswagen Jetta. It had no back defogger, and was missing door handles. It got me through high school!

What's the oldest model year car you've owned?
My 2006 CTS.
Before that, I shared my dad's 1994 Mazda 626. He got rid of it in 2005. Piece of crap, surprised it lasted that long. Transmission problems.
edited : Dad's car was a 1994, not 1984.
Before that, he had a Chevy Cavalier, the first year that they were made. I learned to drive on it. Hated it, turned out to have engine issues where it kept stalling out.

1989 Toyota Camry. Maroon. Got it when I started driving. Had it for quite a few years with so many years left in it. Lol. I loved that car haha

When I first got my license in 1992 I had a 1987 Pontiac Grand Am as my first car. That was the oldest model year I have ever owned.

it was a hand-me-down...
white 1980 chevy chevette... with power NOTHING. am radio only. child proof windows in the back, so they only opened about 5 inches.
it was a lovely hatch-back which allowed for a million teenage girls to ride with me... back before seat belt laws.
at one point in time, we were able to fit 13 people in that car. those were the good old days. makes me cringe at how i had the lives of so many people's children in my car. yikes.

Pretty much this exactly!!
Except change "1980" to "1982". And change "white" to "looks-like-they-forgot-to-paint-it silver".  I used to love to tell people I had a 'vette. Loved to see the look on their faces when I would open the door to my (che)vette!
I remember borrowing my boss's car to make a run to another store for something we needed. His car had power brakes and power steering. Mine did not. Lets just say there was a lot of over correcting and a lot of skid marks happening that day.
Yes, you could fit a shit ton of people in that car. It was awesome. And yes, MarathonKnitter, now that I am a parent, I cringe at the number of people--kids!!!-- we packed in that car too. 
Everything went wrong with it, but I loved that car and had it for a long time! I got really good at fixing things on the fly (...and learning how to stop a moving car with no brakes ) I keep telling DH I want him to buy me one and restore it for me... but not to factory condition. I want him to restore it to look hideous--exactly like my high school chevette! lol

I have a 65 Corvette that was my dad's.
My oldest car I owned was a 92 Corolla which I bought in 2001 so it wasn't that old at the time.

My first car was a 1970 baby blue Chevy Impala I bought in 1984 for $200. That thing was a tank, but it got me (and my friends) out and about during high school.
