Kiddie Academy of Bethpage
Does anyone have an experience with Kiddie Academy of Bethpage?
I've recently become unhappy with our daycare, and we're thinking about moving my son over to Kiddie Academy. We visited and really liked it, but we're still a little nervous to take the leap of moving him.
We were wondering a few specific things. Do the younger kids, e.g., 2 year old, get to interact with the older kids at all, e.g., 3-4 year olds? We like that currently gets to interact with older kids, because he learns from watching them do things. Also, how strict is the 9 hour per day limit? Are you charged the extra $8/hour if you're like 10 minutes after 9 hours, or just if you're well into an extra hour? It shouldn't be a problem most of the time for us, but we still want to know how strictly it's enforced. I'm going to call on Monday to ask the director about this, but I thought maybe another parent might be able to give us an idea about what to expect.
Any feedback would be appreciated, and you can PM me if you want. Thanks in advance!

I can't answer about the berg page location but we are in the Farmingdale one and generally they keep kids grouped by age. There are strict rules for age mixing at centers.
Also I think there is a grace period on the late pickup but I think ours is 5 minutes. We are also based on a 10 hr day

Thanks for the information. I looked up the rules for mixing ages after I read your post, and it makes sense why a larger facility like kiddie Academy would not have much mixing. Our current daycare is much smaller, so at the end of the day he spends some time with older kids because they consolidate the rooms.
I know the facilities can differ greatly, but in general do you like the curriculum?

Re: Kiddie Academy of Bethpage
Just came across this. We are at KA Bethpage. My 2.5 year old son is in a room with children ranging from 18 months to about 3 years old.
I don't think they charge for going over the time unless you are consistently MUCH over it. I had been worried about that also.
