cheese steak woes
sitting in orange county, ca.
someone offered to buy lunch. i got bold and ordered a cheese steak.
i should have gone with the blt
  worst cheese steak of my life. looks like i'll be having french fries for lunch.
oh, how i miss central NJ... with philly and nyc around the cornier.
poor me.

When I moved to NC, I asked for a good pizza spot. The chick told me LIttle Ceasers. I was like even drunk at 3am, no one eats that shit.

Which is why I live in a military town. Someone is ALWAYS complaining about the 'real' (fill in the blank food type) so there's some hole in the wall dive place somewhere with something
all but good takeout Chinese!
I got my place for Pizza and another for pasta
But my Bagel place doesn't carry bialys (spelling)
Still can't find a proper jewish deli but a few close ones
But ethnically we can find lots of stuff here if you're willing to take a risk. Being I a mixed marriage we walk into any place and try it. Hit just about every Thai, Korean, Greek, Mediterranean and Indian joint in the city so far. hahaha

you just reminded me that i saw an episode of diners, drive ins, and dives... they featured an "east coast jewish deli" here in the la area. i think i might go try them this weekend and see if they are worth it.

a friend moved to Omaha this past May. We spoke yesterday and he was telling me how much he misses Pizza and Chinese food. I said to him i wont tell you what I had for dinner tonight, he said Pizza, Yes :)

Totally - I am addicted to Domino's pan pizza and it's in no way a substitute for a good Neapolitan slice, but it's still damn good!

Haha we call it "faux pizza". When we decide it's pizza night it always has to be clarified- wait, real pizza or faux pizza? But it's still delicious. Honestly, with Dominos and Pizza Hut- it's all about the breadsticks.
