cost to draw up a will?
If you don't mind sharing, approx. how much did it cost for you to get a will drawn up for you and your spouse? Dh and I don't have wills, and a few people have suggested we look into it since we have the baby arriving any day now

I used Legal Zoom. Not more than $125 if I remember correctly

the attorney i used to work for in NJ would charge $300 and $500 for a married couple

I was quoted $1500 from a lawyer DH's family uses a lot. For a "simple will" without a trust. So, we didn't do it yet. I'd like to find someone less expensive.

We paid $1500 for dh and I, we also had health proxy's and living wills.

You are a teacher - correct? I would look and see if it's one of your union benefits. DH is in the FDNY and we got our will done for free from one of the law firms they use.

Cost is incredibly cheaper than any attorney I've contacted in person. In the end, is it signed by an attorney?
