Ladies who work- do you go to the bathroom in a "pack"?

I am trying to figure out if this is the norm and maybe I am just the strange one.

I notice at my job that a lot of the girls have to go to the bathroom in groups. Like 3-4 at a time.
Like it's a social event.
Like it's a pack mentality.

I just don't get it, because when i have to pee, I have to pee. I get up, run to the ladies room, do my business and come back.

I don't take the time to call or IM or walk over to 3 other women to see if they'd like to join me.

I also don't get how they all have to pee at the same time. Are they drinking the same amount of fluids at the same time to perfectly time their urge to urinate?

And again, maybe this is just me, but when I'm in a stall, doing my business, I don't like to talk and chat over the walls...and the flushing.

"Yeah, so my sister in law is coming to town this weekend and staying with us, so I....FLUSH....have to make sure I clean and food shop."

"Oh, really. Which...FLUSH.... sister in law is this?"

IMO if you want to chat, take a coffee break. Go hang out at the water cooler. Go to lunch together. I don't see the bathroom as a social event.

But again, maybe i"m the odd one so I wanted to ask on here.

The only time a group of us went to the bathroom at the same time was if we were coming back from lunch. Definitely bizarre.

No.

I've never ever been the type to go to the bathroom with a friend just because. If we both gotta go, then fine. But it's not a social event for me.

No, definitely not. When I gotta go, I go. It's not a social event. But I have noticed that a lot of women do tend to go in groups

Nope, never. I don't even do that at dinners or parties like people normally do. I don't wanna hear you whizzing and I'm sure its mutual. Never understood the potty pack thing.

Um no- we only have single bathrooms at work so that would be awkward!!!! Ahahah even one of our other buildings where the bathroom is multiple stalls, when I worked in that building, never, if I had to go I went, I don't need someone to hold my hand to pee!!! I find it so strange

Or having someone hearing me peeing (or the other one). Seriously, it's embarrassing. I don't even like when I know there are other ppl in stalls already, and I have to use the bathroom!

I find it odd too...there are a few in my office who do that too. One is a group of women who come from a completely different side of the building to use our bathroom. There is one closer to them, but for some reason they come to the one by me. And they are annoying.

Nope, no one in my office does that. Not an event I want to share either.

No never, and definitely not at work. I cringe when someone I know is in the bathroom at the same time and starts talking to me while we are doing our business. Some things can wait right?

We have one-person bathrooms, and I'm not that close with my co-workers.

Nope. I go by myself. Luckily, I work with mostly men lol but I would still go by myself. Chat Icon I'm a woman (though my husband is convinced I was born with half a male brain lol), but still think women can be odd lol. The bathroom is not time for a social mixer. I can't imagine Jack walking into the shop and being all, "hey Joe! Jim! Johnny! I gotta go to the bathroom. Y'all coming?" Chat Icon

At the other end of my building is our business office, and it is filled with women. We have one ladies room for the whole building. I sometimes dread running in to one of them in the bathroom because there are a few that always seem to want to talk. Chat Icon

Peeing alone... I can add that to one of the other six dozen reasons I prefer working with men than women.

Actually... even worse than this, there are a couple of women that will take phone calls in the bathroom! Ugh!!! I hate feeling like I have to wait to get up off the bowl (we have automatic flush valves) so I don't interrupt your totally (un)important phone call. Really? You need to talk on the phone while you - and the rest of us - are peeing/flushing? Chat Icon

Nope, never and don't understand it

At a previous company I worked at there were 2 woman in my dept that did everything together: they waited in the parking lot to come in together in the morning, they sat next to each other, they would go to the bathroom together each time they went, took lunch together, and would leave together- just craziness

Not, never at work. If I have to go, then I go.

But at social events or out at a bar my friends and I will go in groups. Not to talk in the bathroom, but just to have company on the walk to the bathroom and back.

No, I don't even like peeing when anyone else is in there. My office if pretty close to the ladies room, so if I have to go and I hear someone else go in, I will wait until I hear them come back out!

Re: Ladies who work- do you go to the bathroom in a "pack"?

This thread reminds me of my old job, I walk into the ladies room and this woman is in the stall having a full conversation with someone on her cell while having a full on LOUD explosive diarrhea (the kind you need to fumigate afterwards) of whatever demon food she'd had for lunch. Idk what's wrong with some people. The person on the other end was ok with hearing that shit, literally?

I do use the bathroom as the same time as my friend, but only right before we're heading out to lunch together and when we're leaving for the day. All other bathroom trips are independent.
