If you take a daily probiotic- for immunity more than digestive health...please come in
Which one do you take?
Do you feel it works?
I have tried a ton of probiotics for my digestive issues and non really made enough of a difference in my IBS to make me feel it was worth the money. So I stopped
However, what about for immunity? I am just so OVER being sick. I feel like someone in this house is constantly sick since early spring and it's getting depressing to say the least.
We have missed holidays, family events, etc because one person or another was sick in this house since Easter.
DD used to never get sick- all through 5 years of daycare. DH - the last time he was sick was 1997- no joke.
And now we just keep passing viruses and bugs around starting with the flu back in March
I try Elderberry- not sure it's working great.
Super Lyseine... eh, maybe?
I feel like maybe I need a daily probiotic or something for immunity
Anyone use one they feel really works?

PROBIOTICS
This is the one I take prescribed by my naturopathic dr. Its 1x a day, but i've doubled up the past few weeks b/c I had gone off the rails and stopped taking stuff.
Im not sick alot though so I cant speak to whether it actually helps in that regard. but this is a high quality probiotic.
you can probably find it on amazon as well.

Tummy tune up- never felt better in my life. I used to be sick multiple times a year. Knock wood it's been 11 months of being healthy!

We take one from the refrigerated section at Whole Foods. I think it's called Udo's Choice.
It was just recommended to me to start taking oregano oil. It is supposed to be great for digestive issues as well as immunity. **Caveat: I haven't done my research yet (it could be legit or it could all be a big ol' crock of bs), so not sure if we will actually be taking oregano oil. But thought I would throw it out there in case you wanted to do some research for your own purposes!**

How is your diet? As we get older we change and our tolerance changes. If you want to start to heal your gut lining what about bone broth? You can make it or buy it.
But I would look into your diet. A probiotic won't do much if you eat McDonald's every day.

My diet is fine. Not perfect but I don't eat McD's daily. I eat like most normal people. Occasional bad days, but generally fine.
I'm not so concerned with the stomach issues anymore, I have learned to live with them.
It's the constantly getting sick that I need to get in check,

now Im taking 21 st centrury, in the past I took very $$ ones from the vitamin store or health store, and they had to be in the refrigerator, I don't know about immunity, I take for GI issues, but not all the time. When I feel an issue starting I try and take them.
For the life of me I cant remember right now which ones the GI Dr told me take. YOu want a certain # of lactobacillus

I found probiotics did nothing for me but give me a stomach ache for months. I would add red grapes to your daily diet. Or organic, 100% grape juice.

It's sort of all connected with gut health and immunity. Something you eat may bother you now that didn't. I would start with allergy testing and see if anything came up in your diet. My brother recently tested positive for an allergy to seasme seeds! Meanwhile prior he had stomach pain and tried going gluten free, then dairy free and so on.
Some common foods like corn, soy, wheat, dairy, eggs, fish...one random thing could be triggering this. You shouldn't have to live with stomach pain!
A probiotic definitely won't hurt through. The klaire labs ones are nice. I get Amazon prime.

I give my son culturelle. He does get sick every now and then, not terribly sick, but mainly his stomach issues have gotten a lot better.

Do you take a multivitamin? I feel like when I slack off on that, and get less sleep, is when I get sick.
I take Alive
They have a lot of different options & they are supposed to have powdered fruits & vegetables in them ( the smell terrible.) It could be that, or maybe just the Vitamin D in them, but I do think I feel better when I remember to take them ( unless it is all in my head.)
