Locksmith recommendation, Nassau county?
Hi everyone
Long story short, our bathroom door is locked on the inside. Knobs were installed incorrectly. I think we need a locksmith
Does anyone have any recommendations? We're in the Plainview/Bethpage area

there is one on old country rd in Hicksville just west of the capital one cross st is broadway.
Be careful when you look them up bc another name always pops up. You can walk in. VERY good.
If I can think of the name I'll post

Look around the door handle. If there is a small hole push a pin into it. It should release the lock.

Re: Locksmith recommendation, Nassau county?
My husband fixed it himself!
Long story: We had two sets of doorknobs One set that locks and one set that doesn't,
When our son locked it from the inside and then closed the door on the outside I went to get the key to unlock it from the outside; That's when I realized the knobs were installed incorrectly. The inside one was from a locking set and the outer one was from the unlocking set. There was no little key hole. There was a tiny pinhole on the side of the knob but that wasn't an "unlock" hole; it was a "remove this side of the knob" hole. Which we did. And the mechanism behind it was different from the others on locking doors.
Anyway hubby tried everything and we were resigned to the fact that we'd have to call a locksmith and prob pay a ton. Ether that or we'd have to break the jamb or the door which would've sucked cuz everything is brand new
Finally hours later my husband got so pissed he shoved an alan wrench in there as hard as he could and it unlocked. Lol!
